The kids got to the pharmacy and while Calvin and Sam paid for some candy, Charles Wallace asked the man for what he needed.

"Sir, do you have a butterfly pacifier? We kinda need one fast" said Charles Wallace.

"Does it have to be a butterfly?" said the pharmacist.

"Yeah, it has to be a butterfly. This ain't gonna last" said Charles Wallace.

"Let me check" said the pharmacist.

Calvin and Sam were discussing what to do about Idina.

"Sam, you're going out with Dick tonight?" said Calvin.

"Uh-huh" said Sam.

"Is there any chance he could have Bruce Wayne loan us the money to bail Idina out of jail?" said Calvin.

"Cal, even Bruce wouldn't believe I had to bust a driving baby" said Sam.

"Great. I lose my job, and Chad loses one of his babies" said Calvin.

"You haven't lost your job, Calvin" said Sam.

"But that could have made me. I'm gonna sound heartless, but I'm glad Carmichael was mad at Idina and not me" said Calvin.

"That is heartless. Let's face it, Cal; we're dead. If Charles Wallace doesn't find a paci, we really haven't seen the end of this" said Sam.

As the two continued to talk, Charles Wallace's flip phone rang.

"Yeah?" he said as he answered.

"Charles, lad, it's Chad."

Charles Wallace gasped. "Chad! Wha-wha-what's going on?"

"Sam told me you had Kristen in the office today. Has she given Rob any trouble?" said Chad.

"No, no trouble. She didn't destroy anything" said Charles Wallace.

"That's good" said Chad.

"How you feeling?"

"Why does flu have to get worse on the second day?" Chad moaned.

"Yeah, Sam told me you're getting stomachaches" said Charles Wallace.

"Sam told you that? D-did she call you?" said Chad.

"Yeah, that's it" said Charles Wallace.

The pharmacist turned back and faced the boy.

"Hold on, Chad" said Charles Wallace taking the phone away from his ear.

"I'm sorry, son; we don't have a butterfly" said the pharmacist.

Charles Wallace looked at Kristen. "Gah! Uncle Charlsie wishes he could swear right now!"

Chad overheard those words. "What?"

Then Charles Wallace whispered to the pharmacist, "Quick question."

"Yes?" said the pharmacist.

"Marker ink; do you know if it's poisonous? Because she may have ingested some" said Charles Wallace.

Chad overheard that too. "What? Charles!"

Charles Wallace put the phone back to his ear. "Chad! Chad... calm down."

"I'm coming!" Chad snapped.

"No no no! We don't want you more sick" said Charles Wallace.

"Tell Kristen Daddy's on his way!" Chad shouted.
