It was boiling down to the end of the first semester; everyone was occupied with studying and finishing their final projects. It felt like everything was clumped together, and because of this, there was barely any time for the group to hang out.

Min-Jun was beyond frustrated with how things were between him and Alexis. He was practically livid with Jia, who ruined every chance he had to talk to Alexis. This made Suk-Chin feel as though he was walking on thin ice around his childhood friends, a fragile bond that would crack with a wrong word. Alexis was too busy to even give any thought to Min-Jun's situation. With dealing with her courses workload and feeling homesick, she had her plate packed. Shanice was her usual self, shaking her head in disappointment at Min-Jun whenever she saw him, rolling her eyes whenever she saw Jia chasing after Min-Jun, similar to how a fly chases poop.

One day, when everyone was together, Shanice, who kept an eye on the situation, spoke up.

"This is the reason your friend isn't going to get mine," Shanice stated in a matter-of-fact tone while she stared at Min-Jun walking with Jia behind him.

"You should get ready to console him after she gets someone," she said to Suk-Chin, then walked away.

Suk-Chin grabbed his hair and sighed, pacing back and forth to think of a solution.

"Aigoo, what do I do now? The semester is almost over, and everyone is so busy right now," he paused.
"After the semester ends, it will be summer break. I wonder what I should do..."

Then, as if a light bulb clicked in his head, all the turning gears finally pieced together.

"Yes, that's it!" he suddenly shouted, frightening some passing girls. He apologized and then excitedly ran off to put his plan into motion.

One week later, the first semester ended, and the time had finally come for Suk-Chin to put his plan into motion. He was overjoyed as he made his way to Min-Jun's house, going immediately towards his room, occasionally laughing to himself. This caused him to be getting weird looks from the workers he passed.

"Min Min! Open up!" Suk-Chin yelled as he banged on the door. "Min Min! Open up!"

Min-Jun, who had just fallen, asleep was immediately woken up by what sounded like the army banging at his door. Realizing that this army was no one other than Suk-Chin, Min-Jun felt that a vein was going to burst. Suk-Chin felt a sudden chill down his spine, causing him to pause his ruckus. After shaking off the feeling, he went back to banging on Min-Jun's door.

"Min-Jun! Ope-!" Suk-Chin's voice got caught in his throat by the door opening mid-knock.
He realized why he felt a chill earlier; Min-Jun was smiling, but it wasn't his regular smile. It was an 'I'm-so-pissed-at-you-I-want-to-kill-you' smile. Instinctively, Suk-Chin took a step back and gave a shaky smile.

"Min, I have a great idea," Suk-Chin said. "You and I are -"

Bang!

Min-Jun slammed the door in his face.

"BU MIN-JUN! You know I'm not going to stop, so just open up!" yelled Suk-Chin.

Min-Jun's phone started ringing; when he looked, it was his father. He immediately knew why his father was calling.

"Damn that Suk-Chin!" he exclaimed.

He got up and opened the door. It felt like ice was coming from the room as Suk-Chin stepped through the door. Suk-Chin looked at Min-Jun and smiled.

"Suk-Chin, I'm getting a restraining order."

"Oh, come on, Min Min, don't be like that." Suk-Chin threw an arm around Min-Jun's shoulders. "As I was saying, I have a fantastic idea. We are going on a weekend getaway. You've been so down and depressed lately. So, I, as your best friend, want to cheer you up" he ended enthusiastically.
