It was now the second week of December, and everyone was busy with their final projects. Alexis and Shanice were engrossed in schoolwork, while Min-Jun and Suk-Chin focused on academics and their work at the company. Wanting to make up for not being able to hang out much, Alexis decided that she wanted to cook for Min-Jun again. Knowing everyone's schedule, she invited him over on a day when she knew Suk-Chin and Shanice would be busy. As if setting the mood, she started playing some old school dancehall. Cooking and dancing, she was in her element. As if in a trance, Min-Jun could not take his eyes off of her the entire time. He leaned forward, biting his lips.

"Have mercy!" he whispered, watching her body.

"Min? Min?"

She called out to him, but he seemed far away. She went over to him, waving her hand in front of his face.

"Are you okay?" she asked.

"Sorry, I... do you normally dance like this when you cook?" He asked.

"Yes. It makes cooking a lot more fun. Congratulations, you've gotten the full-on experience of Alexis' kitchen," she laughed.

"Please promise me that you won't give anyone else a full experience of Alexis' kitchen."

Alexis tilted her head, slightly confused.

"Promise me."

Seeing how serious he was, Alexis promised him without asking any questions.

They had a lovely dinner. It felt like a date night at home, with them sharing a bottle of wine and watching a movie. Soon after the movie finished, Min-Jun looked down at his watch and frowned. He was not able to stay late as he had a busy day at the office in the morning. Soon after he got home, he heard a knock on the door. It was his mother.

"Mom? What are you doing up so late?" he asked.

"I went to the kitchen for something when I heard you come in."

"Is everything okay?" He asked.

His mother nodded.
"Where were you? Did you have dinner?"

"Yes, I already ate." Min-Jun couldn't help but smile as he remembered Alexis cooking.

"I'm guessing you were with...your girlfriend."

Min-Jun hugged her.
"Don't worry, mom, I can take care of myself. I know what I'm doing, the choice is mine and I think I have made the best choice. So please, just trust me."

She smiled sadly, patting her son on the back and turning to leave. 'Sorry son, but not her. You'll come to thank me later,' she thought to herself, heading back to her room.

The following day, during the early morning, while Alexis was at home, she received a call from Min-Jun's mom asking her to have lunch with her. Alexis sighed, remembering what happened two weeks prior. This time around, Alexis wore high-waisted dark blue jeans pants, a white turtleneck long-sleeve blouse that she tucked into the waist of the pants, a thick beige cardigan sweater, and a pair of boots.

She entered the restaurant, pulling attention with every step.
Mumbles could be heard from all around.

"She must be a foreign model."

"Whatever company she's working for has a good eye."

Min-Jun's mom, who was already seated, observed her walking towards the table.

"I guess she IS pretty and shapely. I guess I'll give that to my son. But still, that's not enough."

Alexis approached the table, bowing in greeting.
