A few days after the dinner had passed, Alexis received an invitation from Min-Jun's mother to attend a small get-together of her and her friends. Alexis was hesitant as she remembered Min-Jun's mother's reaction to meeting her.

"Mi fi really guh nuh weh though?" Alexis thought. "I don't want to seem disrespectful. Alright, fine, I'm going. If mi feel uncomfortable mi just bounce."

Alexis made her way to the location, which was a luxurious café that had its own speciality. Alexis felt that she was underdressed for the occasion as she approached the entrance. She handed the attendant the invitation, and he led her inside.

As Min-Jun's mother was having discussions with her friends/acquaintances, she saw Alexis approaching the table.

'Good, she's finally here. Now let the show begin.' She thought.
"Alexis, you're finally here. Come and have a seat." She said all smiles, guiding Alexis to sit beside her.

'no sah, a di same woman this from the dinna?' Alexis was suspicious.

"So, who is this beautiful foreigner that you have among us?"

Questions began popping up one after the other from those who were seated around the table.
Alexis introduced herself politely.

"Hello, my name is Alexis Scott. I'm from Jamaica, I'm currently doing my final year as an exchange student. It is nice to meet you all."

"Oh, your Korean is very good." Said one of the attendees.

As Alexis conversed with the others, Min-Jun's mother schemed.

"Who is this girl to you, and why bring her here?"

Min-Jun's mother scoffed. "She's nothing but a charity case."

As the discussions continued, a young handsome waiter approached the table. A smile arose on Min-Jun's mother's lips as her plan was being put into motion. The waiter served everyone a dessert that complimented their beverage. As Alexis enjoyed her dessert, the waiter brought another one, but this time, it was for her alone. He smiled as he placed the dessert in front of her, telling her that it was on the house. The whole table became noisy.

"Oh my, it seems the waiter has taken a liking to you." Said one person.

"Indeed. He's a very handsome lad, you should give him a chance." Another person added.

"Ah, I'm sorry, but I already have a boyfriend." Alexis stated.

"Ommo, we should have known that a pretty girl like you would have a boyfriend. Our bad. Is your boyfriend back home?"

"Actually, he's Korean." Alexis smiled.

"From that smile, we can see how much in love you are. Who is this lucky Korean?"

As Alexis was about to respond, she was cut off by Min-Jun's mother, who suggested that they get going to the next location.
They made their way to one of the high-end malls. Upon arrival, they entered one of the luxury brand stores. As everyone shopped, they handed the bags to Alexis.

Alexis scoffed, "A weh unnuh tek mi fah? Unnuh laugh up inna mi face and gwaan like unnuh nice and a treat mi like a donkey." She thought.

Alexis placed the bags down on a random bench and walked away.
After catching up with Min-Jun's mother and the others, she was asked where the bags were.

"Oh, the bags, they are somewhere back there on a bench. You didn't expect me to carry all that by myself while your hands were empty, right?" Alexis asked.
