I caught myself on the wall, and my heart started racing. The thing slowly walked towards me, and I could make out the costume.

Its shoes were caked in dirt with spots stained with dried blood. Its pants were ripped and dusty. The suit jacket was covered in dried mud and had some tears. The shirt was barely hanging on. A familiar set of abs peaked out from the tatters of the shirt. There was blood trailing from a deep bite wound on their neck. There was a massive scratch across the left cheek. Blood was splattered on its face. Its hair was disheveled and dirty with some debris in it.

They walked in front of a light, and I could finally see their face. I relaxed when I recognized them.

"San." I said relived putting my hand on my heart

"Hey. Did I scare you?" He asked, taking my hand in his.

"Yeah! You're in a dark garage, and you look like you've crawled out of a grave." I said.

"My costume looks that good?" He asked, smiling.

"Yeah, it looks pretty good." I said.

"Thanks. Are you dressed up?" He asked.

"No. I don't like to." I said.

"Too bad. I was excited to see what you would wear." He said.

"How did you put this all on?" I asked, marveling at his costume.

"Wooyoung and Seonghwa helped me with the hair and makeup. I chose out the clothes." He said.

"Wow. Did you help them, too? I saw them already, and they look amazing." I said.

"Yeah, we all help each other get ready." San nodded.

"Oh, also, what are you doing creeping? In a garage?" I asked.

"We have a bunch of different games we set up each year, but this one isn't done yet. There's just a few more things, and it's done." San said.

"Oh. Do you need some help?" I asked.

"No, go and have fun. I'll be a few more minutes." He said, smiling. I nodded and left the garage, walking back to the living room where everyone was talking.

I walked over and joined the conversation.

"So how did this tradition start?" Izzy asked.

"Well, when we were kids, we would go trick or treating and go to whoever house and eat our haul, but once we were older and trick or treat got boring, we decided to hang out. Slowly, we started decorating and adding games and then music but costumes we had every year." Hongjoong explained. He was dressed as a minion.

"How long have you guys been spending Halloween together?" I asked.

"Around 14 years." Seonghwa said.

"Yeosangs mom has a photo book of all our Halloweens together and what we wore and did." Wooyoung said.

"Aw, I bet you guys were such cute kids." Izzy smiled.

"That's what our moms say." Yeosang said. He was dressed as Harley Quinn, and he looked beautiful.

"Hey, did you ever find San?" Seonghwa asked.

"Yeah. He's in the garage setting up the last game." I said.

"Whats this about games?" Izzy asked.

"Once San is back, we'll explain the games." Jongho said.

"He should be done by now." Wooyoung said.

"I am. I was grabbing a drink." San said, walking over with two cups of punch. He handed one to me with a smile.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"Okay, now that everyone is here. There's 3 games. One is the classic bobbing for apples, which is outside.
The second one is a team vs. team game. There's 9 flags hidden in the house. Whichever team has more flags by the end that team wins. If you tag an enemy opponent, they're frozen for 10 seconds. You can not steal a flat if it's at the base, and you can not camp a frozen enemy. You can take a flag from a frozen enemy. The third game, which San just finished setting up, is Mario cart." Hongjoong said.

"Mario cart?" Izzy asked.

"Yeah..." Hongjoong said.

"That's the last game?" Izzy asked.

"Yeah. The games are random each year. These are the three we drew." Mingi explained.

"Cool." Izzy nodded.

"Do you get something for winning the games?" I asked.

"No. It's just for fun. " Seonghwa said.

"Oh." Izzy frowned, disappointed.

"You do get a prize for winning the costume contest." Wooyoung said.

"What is it?" Izzy asked.

"It's a suprise." San smiled.

"You and surprises." I said, rolling my eyes playfully.

"Let the games begin!" Mingi said excitedly and blew a whistle. They took off running to the different games. Izzy followed after Wooyoung. I turned to San.

"Not gonna rush after them?" I asked.

" I spent the last two hours in this costume cleaning and decorating the garage and then set up Mari cart. Right now, all I want to do is talk to my girlfriend." He said, smiling.

"Okay, because I really don't want to apple Bob." I said, and San laughed.

"Me either." He agreed.

"When do we play the flag game?" I asked.

"At 11. After that, it's the costume contest, and then everyone snacks and leaves as it gets later." He said.

"Well, it's 20 minutes till 11." I said.

"What should we do?" He asked.

"I love this song." I said, swaying as Drunk Dazed (Enhypen) starts playing.

"Guess we'll dance." He smiled. We moved away from the couch and started dancing.

With my terrible dance skills, I attempted the robot, and San doubled over laughing. San danced, and it was beautiful. Watching his strong legs carry him around and how graceful he moved, I couldn't help but smile.

Drunk Dazed ended, and A Book in Memory (Onewe) started playing. This song is slower. I stepped closer to San, and he put his hands on my hips, and mine were on his shoulders. We swayed while listening to the song.

Once the song was over, Hongjoong Mingi Izzy and Wooyoung came into the room. Their hair was wet, and some of the makeup on Wooyoung had smeared.

"It's almost 11, so everyone should be coming back to get ready." Hongjoong said, looking at the time.

Jongho Yeosang and Yunho came in. Yunho had a big smile on his face, and Jongho and Yeosang looked defeated.

"Guess who won Mario cart." Yunho said proudly.

Wooyoung fistbumped Yunho, and they smiled.

"Okay, let's split up into two teams. Seonghwa and I will not be playing since we hid the flags." Hongjoong said.

We decided on teams by rock paper scissors. I was on a team with Mingi Jongho and Wooyoung. San Yunho Izzy and Yeosang were on the other.

Seonghwa and Hongjoong gave us colored headbands. Red vs. blue.

My team was red team. The red teams base, which is just a box, is on the lawn in front of the house. When both teams got to their bases. A whistle blew and the game started.
