Anya didn't necessarily get excited about going to work, but today she was more reluctant than usual to start her day.

She didn't trust Selené, and she didn't want to see her again. She had no clue what the woman's motive was for targeting her, and she certainly didn't want to be alone with her.

She took a deep breath, trying to clear her mind of all the things she'd rather be doing than putting herself back in the middle of this situation. She brought her key up to the door, and the light turned blue. She pushed the door open.

Selené must have heard her unlocking the door, as the woman was already standing there, wide eyed, as soon as she opened it. She was still wearing her pajamas and her hair was pulled up in a messy bun on the top of her head. Even fresh out of bed, she looked effortlessly beautiful.

Which Anya should not have been thinking.

Anya raised an eyebrow at her, waiting for her to move to the side.

"Wha—Why are you here?" Selené asked, rising to the top of her toes to try and see over Anya's shoulder. Anya wondered if she was looking to see if Trey was with her. "How did you unlock the door?"

Anya pushed past her into the open, blindingly white entry room of the house. It was as sterile and cold as it had been the other day.

"I'm here to hang out with you," she said, shrugging out of her leather jacket and tossing it on a nearby chair as if unfussed. "At Trey's request. He gave me the keys."

She held up the key ring for Selené to see before hooking it back on her belt.

"And now that I have a key," she said, looking Selené right in her eyes. "I can come here whenever I want."

That sounded more erotic than Anya had meant it to, but Selené didn't seem to take it that way. The other woman's hands trembled slightly instead. Anya wondered what power Trey exerted over Selené to make her so skittish in her own home.

"Ah—um." Selené nodded, obviously nervous. "Okay. Why?"

"I just do what I'm told."

"Alright. Well, let me get dressed."

Anya barely nodded as Selené turned and ran back to another room in the house. She was about to sit down on a lounge chair in the living room when the buzzing of her phone caught her off guard. She pulled it out of her pocket and quickly realized it was Trey.

"Are you there?" Trey asked.

"Yep," Anya answered.

"Selené is there?"

"I think she's getting dressed."

"Okay, good," he said. "While she's distracted, I want you to do something for me. There's a hallway to the left. At the end of it, my office is there. Use the red key card to get into it."
