"What?! No, we are staying here! We shall not let this continuous aggressive momentum of theirs come to us! We must act!"

"B-but, Your Majesty...! We are safer within these walls!"

"Don't you understand, Rufus?! These are not narrow-minded simpletons! They aren't intimidated or reluctant to attack a fortified capital city! The other way around! They want to pin us down and destroy us! I want all the armies from around the city to be recalled here, outside of the walls! We choose where to give the final battle!"

Inside the War Room of the Eastern Boshin Kingdom's Capital City, the Generals of their army appeared to be causing quite the ruckus to their

"I agree. We must apprehend them outside from the city where mobility is plenty, and we eliminate the otherwise sure outcome of a siege battle."said a woman in her twenties, just next to the King.

"Maria..."

The King nodded with a smile at her for backing up his plan. The nobles of the Kingdom seemed to agree to a certain extent.

"So, we'll take the battle to them, you say? I heard that they are using a specialized long-range pike, called the Sarissa. Their slow movement makes up for the armour and damage they bring to the battlefield. A devastating force. How do we deal with them?"

An old, experienced noble jumped in into the discussion, folding his two arms and waited for a response.

"Cavarly. They cannot reposition themselves too fast if they are outmanoeuvered by a cavarly force. If a cavarly contingent slips through the defenses and attacks them from the flanks, I'm sure we'll route them. They are not invincible."

The War Room lit up again with hope; all seemed to agree with the King's idea.

"Yes, but this prerequisites a win of our cavarly forces over theirs."said a skeptical noble on the other side of the room, far away from the table.

"I'm sure if the King leads his glorious men to battle, then we'll get what we want."

The Queen rushed in to back up her husband's plan. Her black hair was standing inches away from the ground. It was lengthy like a veil, and soft to the touch, just like silk.

"Alright, that is settled. How about the men at the front? The ones who have to deal with the pikemen?"

"I...have an idea about that."

The Queen seems to have something in mind. She placed her hand to the point in the map where they are supposed to fight.

"The pikemen will push forward, and we'll fall back. You see those two hills some kilometers away from the walls? We let them chase us till there. We hide some forces behind the hills, and once we fall back beyond the hills, with their flanks exposed, the hidden troops rush to there to cut them down."

"Splendit! I second that!"

"Hannibal Barca...eh. That's interesting..."said the isolated man on the very far end of the room.

"Oi, Empire boy! Why don't you come here and discuss what you have with us! Come on, you don't have to be shy!"said a girl in the round table of the War Room.

The blonde man sighed, and moved his legs to join his comrades.

"You didn't come from the Empire just to comment on whatever we have to say, did you?"

"I still don't trust this guy! He's an Imperial!"

"An Imperial that hates Vespertite Bernadotte as much as you do. An Imperial that wishes to erase those scoundrels in her army as much as you do."said the blonde man, with a sardonic smile on his face.
