June 27, 2015: This was requested by ThoraOakenshield. Thank you so much!

You heal Kili after he's been shot by a Morgul arrow.

You felt a slight throbbing pain in your foot from tracking the odd party of thirteen dwarves and one hobbit. However, you kept on trudging along in the snow, approaching a town where the injured dwarf prince must preside.

Seeing the giant, snow-capped Lonely Mountain in the distance, it struck you that this was Lake-town. You looked upward to see poorly built wooden structures appearing to be stacked on top each other and all buildings were precariously close to one another, as if huddling close by for warmth against the cold, brutal weather this town seemed to endure every hour of every day.

People stared at you, a well-dressed elven stranger, glancing down at their own worn attire. Noting that the people of Lake-town tend to not take well to strangers, you sped up your pace, still hoping to find a sign of Kili and his brethren.

"It's a small town, Alfrid. Everyone knows where everyone lives," you heard being said in the distance. In the same direction in which the voice was heard, a boat filled with fourteen barrels of fish continued to move toward the direction of the inner city of Lake-town - no doubt where the fish could be traded. But what really captured your eye was the fact that a head stuck out from the barrel for a mere second.

Knowing that was possibly where you could find Kili, you pursued the boat, gaining a little bit of speed with every stride you made.

After watching the bargeman's house for a short measure of time, you hear the pained screams of Kili.

The poison has started to spread through his bloodstream.

You sprint toward the house, cursing your foolishness in having waited for even a moment before trying to heal Kili. When you reached the house, you opened the door hastily, and walked inside, trying to locate Kili.

The bargeman noticed your presence and asked, "What are you doing inside of my home?"

"I'm here to heal Kili, he's been shot by a Morgul arrow. If I don't heal him soon, he will surely die a painful death." you reply in a calm tone, contrasting the anxious feeling you were feeling on the inside.

The rugged man just nodded, giving you permission to heal Kili.

You head toward the table, which acted as a makeshift bed for Kili.

While rubbing an athelas paste on your hands, you mentally prepare yourself for the possibility of Kili being beyond saving. No, you thought, pushing all thoughts of tragedy into the back of your mind.

You place your hands on Kili's wound and start chanting in Elvish. The words seem to have a powerful affect on not only Kili, but on the entire room. They look upon you with awe, hope, and wonder, for only you could save Kili from his deathbed in this moment.

Finished with your healing, you notice that Kili has stopped thrashing and appears to be tired from all that has happened within a day or two.

"Rest now, young prince." you mutter when his eyelids close shut.

While you wait for Kili to wake, you talked to Fili, who had stayed behind to make sure that his brother had parted by his side. Fortunately, Fili didn't have see his younger brother pass away with pain.

"You seem familiar, Y/N." Fili says. "Were you a guard for the prison in Mirkwood?"

You scratch your chin, thinking. "Ah!" you snap your fingers, knowing who he might have seen. "You've met Tauriel, my sister, haven't you?"

Fili nods. "Yes, I have. You look like an awful lot like her," he chuckles.

"Well, we both take after our-" you were interrupted by the sound of Kili rising and stretching.

"Y/N." Kili calls out.

You walk over to him, waiting to hear what he wants to say.

Kili continues, "You're an angel. Well, I guess I was close to seeing an angel," he snickers. "But thank you for saving me." Kili reaches out for your hand and kisses it gingerly, his eyes never leaving yours.

You smile, slightly blushing at his affection.

You respond with, "We shall take you home."

If you had known that taking Kili back to Erebor would result in being involved in a battle between five armies within a matter hours, you would have rethought your choices.

But, alas, there you were fighting goblins, orcs, and any other foul beast that crossed your path.

You shot an arrow into an orc's chest. With a thud, he landed on the ground. You continued to kill until you got the hang of it. Falling in sync of the battle, you kept on fighting until you heard Kili shout your name in the distance from where you were standing.

You ran toward him, sensing that he was in trouble. When you looked for Kili, you saw Bolg towered over his dwarven frame, and you knew that Kili would need help fighting the orc warlord.

Kili's sword clashed with Bolg's spear. Slowly, you could tell that he was losing his strength. With every struggle he had against Bolg, the orc would overpower him a little bit more, and could force his spear closer to Kili.

You wouldn't be able to reach Kili in time to save him.

Well, by sword.

You nocked an arrow, aiming it at Bolg and fired, the arrow landing on Bolg's neck.

You kept on shooting arrows in rapid succession, knowing that it would take several arrows for Bolg to be slain. Each arrow found its' place on Bolg's exposed skin, but he wasn't giving up. While you were using your bow, you were moving closer to Bolg, every arrow biting his skin more and more at the close range.

Eventually, Bolg dropped his spear, then Kili took the opportunity to stab him in the chest, bringing it through his body.

You felt relieved knowing that Kili was fine. Both you and Kili glanced at each other, and he gave you a grateful smile.

You grinned back, glad to see him alive and happy.

You thought you saw something else in his eyes. However, you didn't understand until he screamed, "Y/N!"

Turning around, you felt a blade pierce your side. Your adrenaline kicked in and you took out your sword and killed the puny goblin who had stabbed you.

You thought the blade had only scratched you. Contrary to what you thought, you had been stabbed. You crumpled to the ground, wondering if that was how your life was going to end. You could have lived till the end of Middle Earth with your elven life, but would this be your final day?

Tears brimmed on the edge of your eyes, you felt someone hold you.

"Y/N." Kili whimpered, stroking your hair. "You saved me, twice. I'm going to save you."

You felt comforted by his presence, until blackness consumed you.

Your eyelids fluttered open, and you saw that you were in a large room that had grand columns reaching the tall ceiling. The stone ceiling was engraved with such great design that you knew you were in the halls of Erebor.

"Y/N, you're awake." Kili said with a sincere look of happiness on his face. He touched your cheek softly with his hand and leaned in to kiss you. He brought his lips to softly graze the top of your head; the kindness of this act was enough to make your heart melt.

"Kili, how long have I been here?" you ask.

He shrugged. "Only a day. You're a fighter,
Y/N."

You smiled, happy that Kili was here with you.

Kili looked straight into your eyes and said, "No matter where you are, if we're together or apart, you'll come to my rescue, or I'll save you."
