April 14, 2016: This is just a mini imagine I wrote for fun. Hope you guys like it!

You and Bombur are on an important quest.

"Over here!" Bombur shouted.

You ran frantically towards the stout dwarf.

You were assisting Bombur in finding a valuable he had lost. He, however, had not specified what this lost item was.

You sighed. "Any luck?"

"Well," he began. "I think it's within this area."

"What area?" you asked.

"This area."

"Please be more specific," you said.

Bombur pointed a spot on the ground covered with twigs that seemed to be placed there intentionally. "This area."

"Are we going to have to uncover it?"

He chuckled. "We... that's a good one, Y/N." Bombur moved a couple yards to find shade underneath a tree. "Good luck."

Instead of arguing with the dwarf, you started working so that you could return home as quickly as possible.

Moving the twigs, a faded green cloth came into sight.

"Bombur!" you shouted. "I think I found something!"

He nodded. "Keep on looking."

You mumbled about his lack of help until you uncovered more of this cloth to realize it was wrapped around something.

You picked up the bundled package and tossed it at Bombur.

He didn't have time to catch the package, and it ended up bouncing off of his stomach.

Bombur groaned and moved to pick it up.

"Hey, be careful," he said as he removed the cloth, revealing the mysterious item. "These are special."

You gawked at what was inside of the cloth.

It contained berries.

Berries.

You had been searching for three hours.

"Berries?" you said in an incredulous tone.

Bombur shrugged. "I found them earlier today while looking for firewood with Bofur, so I hid them and decided to come back for them."

"Berries?" you repeated once more.

"Not just any berries. They're of a rare kind."

Bombur was a nice fellow, but, in this moment, you didn't know why you ever agreed to help him.

"If they're rare, why didn't you just take them back with you in the first place?" you asked, your voice gradually getting louder.

He looked down at his feet. "Well, you know Bofur. The bloke's been getting greedy with his food lately, and I was worried he would take all of it for himself."

You raised your eyebrows. "Bofur?"

Bombur nodded.

"You, Bombur, are an interesting dwarf."
