July 29, 2016: ismini_tsoulou wanted a Elrond imagine, so here it is!

You are Elrond's apprentice.

In this moment, you felt completely and utterly awful for what you had done.

Attempting to master elven magic, you were placed under Lord Elrond's supervision in Rivendell. Today, you had been reading from the scrolls of Elrond's personal study room.

As you read, you repeated an incantation in your mind, not aware of the fact that the incantation didn't have to be uttered aloud, only thought, to work.

It might have been better if the incantation was practically useless, but this specific incantation was for the summoning of water.

As soon as you thought the words on the scroll, the water within your water glass spewed upward, drenching the ancient parchment paper of the scroll, Elrond's work desk, and your face.

You were motionless for a few moments, trying to comprehend what had happened. After your brief daze had ended, you scrambled to move the priceless scroll you had possibly ruined.

You relocated the scroll to the nearest window seal sill to dry. Once you laid out the scroll, you quickly returned to Elrond's desk to wipe up the excess water. The water was starting to make its way toward the edge of his desk. Therefore, you made a rash decision and used your sleeve to absorb the liquid.

You were still wiping the water up when you heard a voice from behind you.

"What are you doing, Y/N?" Elrond's voice boomed throughout the peaceful room.

You stopping wiping the desk, hoping that you did a sufficient enough job that Elrond wouldn't notice.

"Studying the spell you told me to," you replied while trying to act nonchalant.

Elrond's eyebrows raised, "Is everything alright?"

"Yes, yes, all is well," you said, nodding your head.

"I'll leave you to your studies then," he told you, turning to leave.

You were relieved beyond words. "Farewell, Lord Elrond," you muttered as you waved goodbye to him.

Though, instead of leaving, he quickly spun around. "I felt water hitting the back of my neck."

Looking down at your drenched sleeve, you saw droplets of water cascading to the ground. You had evidently flung some of that water onto Elrond's neck when you waved to him.

Not knowing what to say, you attempted to conceal your emotions.

"That is, uh, rather peculiar," you said, hoping that he would leave it at that.

Lord Elrond, however, was not convinced.

His keen eyes wandered around his study, in search of an explanation for the water, before landing on your sleeve.

"Why is your sleeve wet?" he questioned.

"My sleeve is wet? Huh, that's interesting," you spoke in a higher-pitched voice than you normally used.

Elrond had a solemn look on his face.

You sighed, knowing Elrond wasn't one to be fooled.

"I may have possibly used a water spell that, possibly, got on your desk and maybe on one of your ancient scrolls. My apologies," you quickly told him.

He didn't respond to you; Elrond only strolled toward the desk, examining it.

Wordlessly, he then moved to the window sill, where the scroll lay. He picked up the scroll. The scroll, to your horror, tore apart when he lifted it from its spot.

He silently placed it back where it had been.

You were speechless, worrying that this incident could end your apprenticeship with Lord Elrond.

"You are aware that," he started, speaking in a monotone manner. "That this isn't an ancient scroll."

He turned to you, grinning.

"But you told me it was!" you cried out.

"I only did that so you would be careful, which didn't seem to work," he said while raising an eyebrow.

"I, uh," you stammered.

He placed a hand on your shoulder. "It's alright, Y/N. No real harm was done."

You slightly smiled. "I suppose you're right."

"I actually made the exact same mistake when I was reading from this scroll," he told you.

"Really?" you asked.

"I did," he confirmed. "Except I didn't ruin the scroll."

You fake laughed. "Wasn't that eons and eons ago, old elf?"

He rolled his eyes. "Very funny, Y/N. Very funny."
