I had a chance to feel rich when Steven dropped me home in the elegant black car, Davina inside with me. She insisted that she didn't want Nevaeh and I going back alone. Nevaeh convinced me to just let it go since it was a losing battle.

The past two days have been somewhat peaceful, filled with my growing closeness to the group and the occasional glare from Sophia in the hallway. The idea to drop out of the cheer squad before even finding out if I've been accepted has been on my mind; I wouldn't be in the mood to deal with Sophia's demands, and I know that she'll be harder on me. There's a very good chance I'll punch her, so the likelihood of me getting kicked off in the future is high anyway.

In my opinion, quitting instead of getting kicked off is much less embarrassing.

Noah is like her fucking lapdog. He's by her side almost everyday, undressing me with his eyes every time I see him. He's also on my list of people to hurt. Maybe I should stab him in the eye with a pencil. Then he won't be able to look at me, or anyone else, like that again. Then again, I'd probably get expelled. I'll do it after we graduate.

The smell of deodorant in the changing room is sickening. I can't complain too much since I've sprayed a good bit of it all over myself, but most of the girls here are over-applying it, making the smell of it seep down my throat and creating an uncomfortable feeling. Paired with the smell of perfumes of all kinds, the smell is even more unbearable. I want to tell Davina and Nevaeh to hurry the fuck up so I can breathe in some real air.

They finally finish up, shoving their perfume bottles into their bags. "I think someone said that the members of the team is outside the cafeteria. We need to check that out," Nevaeh says.

I trail behind the two of them as we walk to the cafeteria, which of course has a long line of girls seeing if they got in. The energy seems to mostly be positive, smiles on most of the girl's faces. There's a few that have some frowns, some trying to hide their discontent from their friends.

Davina groans, clearly annoyed about the long line. Three tall, muscular boys walk towards us, one sporting a grin, another with a soft smile and the last looking as grumpy as always. "The three of you got in," Theo states, resting his arm on Nevaeh's shoulder when she walks towards him.

"How do you know?" Davina questions, giving Alejandro a smile before quickly looking away, pink gracing her cheeks.

I don't have a crush on him, my ass.

"We checked before the line got too long," Alejandro answers, making the smile on Davina's face wider. To the untrained eye, Alejandro seems emotionless, a bored look on his face. Behind those brown eyes is a feeling of slight happiness, probably due to the fact that Davina is smiling because of him. I can tell he's fighting a smile of his own, the corners of his lips moving up and down a few times.

I've concluded that they would be so cute together.

"It was my idea," Theo boasts, making Nevaeh roll her eyes.
