Choosing an outfit proved to be a harder task than I thought it would be

Choosing an outfit proved to be a harder task than I thought it would be. I spent all of last night trifling through my clothes, but couldn't decide on one thing. Even now, after arriving back from work, I'm not sure what to wear when Steven is meant to be here in thirty minutes to bring me to Davina's house.

She texted me earlier saying that I can just bring all the clothes I'm thinking of wearing and her and Nevaeh will help me choose. I finally give in, opting for the easier option that Davina gave me.

I take the five different outfits I might wear and shove them into my beige tote bag. Taking a seat at my desk, I open the drawer containing all my makeup. She also said we can do our makeup together, so I need to pack all the main items into my black toiletry bag, along with my toothbrush, some hair ties, bobby pins, my hairbrush and perfume.

I grab my phone from my bed, checking the time. Davina said she'll be here at four, so I have twenty minutes to spare. She told me her and Nevaeh always meet up at least three hours before parties to talk and have fun dressing up together.

Those next few minutes are spent scrolling through my phone, peeking at my window every few seconds. I haven't seen Levi in his room all day. Maybe he does actually work.

A small notification pops up at the top of my phone. It's from Davina. I'm here.

I leave her on opened and take my tote bag, rushing to Rosa's room to tell her I'm leaving. "I won't be back for the rest of the day, okay? If you need anything ask Genevieve."

She nods, most likely not paying attention since her nose is shoved in a book. I shut her door, climbing down the stairs to my front door. Outside my driveway, I see Steven in the front seat, his brown hair glistening from the sunlight. I can also spot Nevaeh and Davina in the back, smiling when they see me.

I walk up to the car, opening the door to be greeted by two girls that look like they've had too much coffee. "Hi, Elle," Davina drawls, moving into the middle seat so I can get in.

"Hi, Davina," I repeat, laying my bag on my lap.

"How are we feeling?" Nevaeh questions. "Excited, nervous, any other emotions?"

"Nonchalant." She smiles at my answer, leaning her head back against the head rest.

"These parties are fun, I swear. Just get drunk enough to let loose." I don't tell them that I'm not meant to be drinking. I still will, but I won't be getting completely drunk.

Davina scoffs, turning her head to me. "They're only fun because half the time she's off with Theo doing their disgusting activities."

My face scrunches, my eyes flicking between the two of them. "I have heard way too much about their sex life in the past few days."

"I agree! Why does everyone feel the need to comment on what Theo and I do? I swear they're annoyed because they can't find anyone to fuck."

"Trust me, no one wants to be fucking like rabbits the way the two of you do," Davina says. This only prompts Nevaeh to defend her sexual activities even more, leading to an argument between the two.
