I stand on the edge to the undercity, holding Vi's hand, looking down at our home. A bell rings and the bathysphere pulls into the station.
The lady, we now know as Caitlyn, stands at the stairs to the station. "I heard the bathysphere has a nice view. That could be a good way to get a lay of the land."
Vi let's go of my hand and puts her hood up, now we are in more casual clothes and not prison uniforms, turning to Caitlyn.
"Too risky." Vi looks back to me and nods towards the edge before jumping down.
Caitlyn gasps and I smile at her smugly before doing the same.
We jump from roof to roof, further and further into the Undercity. Running across pipes and flipping down and across houses and gaps. We reach a balcony and walk a moment, chuckling and taking a big breath before using the railings and the wall to launch ourselves across a large gap, one at a time.
We grab onto a ladder and glide down it and into another opening. We run across a path and jump railings as they got in the way and continuing with a laugh. We run up a ramp and use the momentum of coming back down to jump across a large gap. The wall has graffiti art I can't recognise and then I look back to where I was to land.
I land safely, rolling to break the fall and jump down into an alley way, using my arms and legs to slow me down. I run across a roof and onto a pipe, standing next to Vi as she looks down at it all, panting.
It's all changed. Instead of the homely feel it used to have, it was like a district of clubs with neon signs everywhere.
"Come on, let's keep moving."
I nod and we run across the pipe to the end. We jump more roofs and then down another alley way, grunting slightly as I land.
