"You'd look good at my side

"You'd look good at my side." She said.

I can't get it out of my head. I've not moved, it's like I'm paralysed even though I want to move. I know what she meant: I've seen both Topside and bottom, taking Zaun's side looks good. It also means I know what I'm saying. Like really know.

But it's a lot. Sevika wasn't lying when she said I haven't felt the sun on my back for months. There will be one of the largest crowds of people, all there to stare at Sevika. And at me if I go.

I do want to, but the pressure is immense. Standing infront if all those people after not seeing anyone for months is the biggest leap of faith I may have ever taken... or is that dramatic?

But that's all it is; a leap of faith. I have to trust Sevika, Isha, Jinx... myself. All we have is each other, why make it more difficult than what it needs to be?

I have to do this. For Zaun. For Sevika. For myself. I have to prove to myself that I can care for my girlfriend but also that I am more than that.

No matter the circumstance, me and Violet have always been glued to one another's side. We have always been extentions of each other. It's time to become more than that. I can be her girlfriend, and a strong woman at the same time.

Shame it took 8 months of solitude to realise.

I practically jump from the sofa and call back to Jinx that I'm joining Sevika. I hear her laugh and cheer me on as I run out to find the woman herself, waiting at Vander's statue.

I can't help but take in the scenery of actual daylight. The way it beats down on my skin and dancing atop of it making me smile. Its like a genuine warmth I've never appreciated before, even when I got out of prison. It's different now. It's not with Vi.

It's bittersweet but I could savour this forever.

"Decided to show up?" She asks, skeptically.

"Time to sort myself out. I can love Violet and still be strong on my own."

"Found the light, kid?"

"It's a leap of faith. That's it, right?"

"That's it."

"You know, I'm constantly reminded of how loyal you are."

"You can't say much. Violet's all you care about, huh?"

"She's not the only thing... not anymore." I smile softly at her before a crowd gathers.

We stand at the base of the statue and wait for a slightly larger group to form. It doesn't take long. Sevika was right; there are Jinxers, Firelights and civilians here to see us. Or more likely, Jinx.

"It's no secret we got history." Sevika speaks to the crowd, making them grow quiet to listen. "Blood spilt on all sides. But we grew up on the same streets. Ate the same scraps. Like it or not, we're in this mess together. Enforcers raiding our homes. Noxians down our throats. Innocents getting carted off to still water."

"I've seen it myself." I step forward. "How they choose what to do. A vote by the richest and most influential and barely any communication with their people. And definitely not with us. They think that shoving their decree on us will force someone to confess to everything. They've given us no leeway. Kiramman gassing our streets and ruining what her mother did for us. They don't care about us, they care about their image!"

"We gotta choose right now whether we're gonna throw in the towel or make a stand together. Not as Firelights. Or Jinxers. Or washed up goons. As Zaunites."

"We wanna see Jinx!" Someone in the crowd yells, majority of people agreeing.

Sevika stumbles, not knowing what to say, so I step forward some more. "Is that all you care about? An 18 year old girl? Why rely on one person to change everything when you can do something about it yourself? It's the stupidest thing I've ever heard! And I've been to Still Water. I've been in that Council room."

Everyone in the crowd who was yelling for Jinx goes quiet and stares up behind us. I turn to see Isha stood high and raising a blue flare. The crowd begins hollering and whistling, raising their hands as a sign that they'd stand together. Me and Sevika smirk at one another, raising our fists in pride before a spear is driven through hers.

I yelp in shock seeing a group of Noxians and enforcers with riot shields march towards us. "You're all under arrest!" One announces and everyone charges at them. Sevika breaks free, leaving her mechanical arm behind, and the two of us race forward and attack a few enforcers. It's easy enough. But I see Isha attack a Noxian Commander before being thrown to the ground. I scream her name but I can't help, too preoccupied with the enforcers I'm being flooded with.

I see Sevika getting practically pummeled and I rush to her when I get the chance. Everyone's been arrested, even Isha. While the enforcers are busy taking everyone away, the two of us whisk our way home.

"Fucking hell Sevika, your arm."

"I'm fine."

"I dunno, you look pretty shit."

"Just... get us home."
