When we got back from the memorial earlier, I saw Viktor encased in some sort of stasis chamber. Jayce thought I would just yell or be scared in some way, shape or form but I was intrigued. I spent a lot of my life teaching myself biology as well as some basic skills that are a given in Topside. I even taught the others the basics and they felt so cool to know stuff that others around us didn't.
"So you're saying you don't actually know what it's doing, just that it's keeping Viktor alive?"
"Yeah... and everything I go to test something... its like it's rejecting me."
I hesitated. "Is Viktor... from the Undercity? I recognise him..."
"Yeah... he is..."
"I think I knew him. You look exhausted Jayce, take a nap or something."
"You're sure?"
"I'm sure."
He yawned and sat at his desk, swiftly falling asleep ontop of the work that I wanted to look over. I sighed and rolled my eyes as I tried to pull out his notebook from beneath him.
And for hours since then, I've been letting Jayce sleep as I study up on what we know so far. There was one thing that has been bugging me: why would it respond to biological matter? Sure the how can be interesting... but why?
Looking at the black board and Jayces notes before scanning his desk and finding Viktors notes. His are different; he says that Hextech can learn, that it develops organic life but not for long. I wonder about what it's doing to him and why.
Using Viktors notes, I theorise that if Hextech learns, it must remember. What if it remembers Viktor developing it and helping it? What if it wants to help him? It could be wrong, but that's what happens in science.
