Brandy's POV~

Jinx thriving isn't something I expected to see

Jinx thriving isn't something I expected to see. Not after everything that's happened. But, here she is, being a wonderful sister to Isha and being in a place where she can be happy. She barely ever leaves home but she insists the girl she was, is dead.

When we got home after the big fight, I didn't stay long. I went back to the Kiramman's - snuck in - taking Violet's and my things and coming back. She left all her civilian clothes, and now it's all I wear. Her clothes just about fit me but I don't care about that.

I never leave home anymore. I'm too scared I'll see her, too scared of what she'll think of me after I gave up looking for her. Well... I didn't really give up, I just became incredibly burnt out, after all, I didn't come back home for days on end, looking for her.

Home is a wierd place. It's Jinx's old hide out, a propellor stuck in a ravine. On one section is the entrance, in the centre is all our things, another propellor is where Jinx and Isha sleep, the propellor closest to the exit is Sevika's and the one furthest from it is mine. Jinx made us our own special forts, you can tell whose is whose but its all in Jinx's art style. Chaotic and beautiful.

Sevika is like a mother to me. I never expected us to be so close but I often confide in her. It's almost always about Vi and my attachment issues and it's a miracle she hasn't killed me yet. She's got the most amazing advise, she's so wise and helpful that I wonder where it came from.

To me, Jinx has become the happy medium between Powder and Jinx. She feels more like herself now she has a duty of care. It gives her purpose. I don't think she was even this happy at 10. Isha is a gem, never says a word but has had the biggest impact on our lives. Especially on Jinx. Like I said; a duty of care.

Everyone is thriving and I've become recluse. I love it here, its quaint and its the first home I've had in almost 8 years now. I've changed, and I'm not sure if it's for better or worse. I either sleep too much or not at all, my eating habits are worse than what they were in prison and I've lost so much weight. I dyed one dread from my head of white hair blue and another red. What will Vi think of me?

Jinx didn't stop looking. She thought that she could give me hope. I had a duty of care, and I think she now understands what it's like. It's the longest I've been without Vi. Broken the record of 3 months to about 8 now. It makes me sick that the woman I love could be suffering, and I wouldn't know.

Jinx didn't stop looking. When I took the rest and time to stop about 5 months in, I realised how tired I was. Sometimes, I didn't sleep for days on end and then slept for days. I hated feeling so stupid that I couldn't find my own girlfriend.

Jinx didn't stop looking. She saw adverts and things in discarded papers talking about how a new pit fighter beat the champion in one punch. I couldn't bare to go, but Jinx did. She told of how she just stood in the crowd and watched.

Apparently, Vi has changed too. She wears all black; clothes, makeup, hair. You name it, it's probably black. She screams and cries a lot, never seems truely satisfied.

Jinx is doing all this for me, whilst all of Zaun see her as a symbol. With Caitlyn shoving this Noxian regime in our faces, she made everyone turn to something. Someone that could give us hope. She hates the idea.

"Jinx is dead!" She always says. But I know that if she can help me, she can help them. Despite her loving life at the moment, she needs a break of routine, to do something different for once. Although, I can't say much.

Sevika comes in, complaining about a sort of spectacle that Jinx supposedly made at the boarder. Jinx - of course - denies it, using me as her alibi. She was just cleaning up the mess she made from when she dyed Isha's hair blue. Isha has a smug smile on her face, and it's obvious she did something.

"Well, however it happened, the whole Undercity's buzzing, saying you're back." Sevika continues. "So I'm thinking–"

"Not your strong suit." Jinx jokes. I watch from a small distance, on the couch on the way to the entrance.

"Would make a world of difference if you showed up. You're a symbol." Sevika finishes.

"You want a symbol?" Jinx sighs as her middle finger is missing, not being able to flip Sevika off.

"Silco spent his whole life trying to rally the Undercity together. Stupid joke that it is, you have the chance to pull it off."

"I told you, I'm not interested."

Sevika grunts as she punches Jinx's vanity. Even from a distance, I can see that it triggered her in some way, shape or form. "Do you know how much he sacrificed to protect you? He believed in your potential."

"Well then, he shouldn't have died!" Jinx yells, throwing something towards Sevika but missing.

"We're having a rally tonight; Vander's statue. Firelights, your fans... anyone I can bring to the table. Stick your head in the dirt if you want, but this fantasy you've been living down here, its not gonna last forever."

"Don't trip on the way out!" Jinx calls back as Sevika walks to me.

"You could come too, kid." She offers.

"Why would I do that?"

"When was the last time you actually felt the sun on your back? You can't seriously be still worried about Vi after 8 months. Besides, you'd look good at my side."

"It's a lot for a first outing."

"I'll give you that. But you've got to dangle your feet in the water to attract the sharks."

"Why would I want sharks ontop of all my problems?"

"First off, its a metaphor. Second, face your fears."

"I'll think about it. You won't know until the rally because neither will I."
