The sun was beginning to set, casting a warm glow over the park as Jungwon and Bora found themselves sitting on the very bench where their paths had crossed for the first time. Their laughter mingled with the rustling leaves, creating a serene backdrop to the moment they were sharing.

Bora playfully nudged Jungwon with her elbow. "You know, this park holds a special place in my heart now."

Jungwon smiled, his gaze fixed on the horizon. "Mine too. It's like it's been transformed since the day we met."

Bora's eyes sparkled with mischief. "Speaking of which, we should leave our mark here. Like a memory etched in time."

Jungwon turned to her, his curiosity piqued. "What do you mean?"

Bora pointed to the bench, her expression lighthearted. "Engrave our names here. So that whenever we come back, we'll remember this day."

Jungwon grinned, liking the idea. "You're full of surprises, Bora."

With a sense of excitement, they rummaged through their bags, searching for something to engrave their names with. After a bit of digging, they found a small knife – a makeshift tool for their impromptu plan.

Side by side, they carefully etched their names onto the bench – their laughter and shared moments becoming part of the wood itself. As they worked, their hands brushed against each other's, sending a shiver of connection down their spines.

When they finished, they admired their handiwork – their names forever linked in a place that had become a canvas for their budding friendship.

"There," Bora said, sitting back to admire the engraving. "Now we'll always have a piece of us in this park."

Jungwon nodded, a soft smile on his lips. "It's perfect."

As the sun dipped below the horizon, they exchanged a knowing look, their connection solidified by the shared memory they had created.

End of Flashback

Bora's day had taken an unexpected turn. She found herself in the gymnasium after school, a mop in hand and a slightly exasperated teacher by her side. She had been caught daydreaming during class, and this was her consequence – cleaning duty.

As she swiped the mop across the floor, Bora couldn't help but feel a mixture of annoyance and embarrassment. Her mind wandered to the thoughts she had been lost in earlier, thoughts that had led her to this rather humbling situation.

Little did she know that her actions were being observed by someone else. Jungwon stood at the doorway of the gym, his gaze fixed on Bora as she diligently cleaned. He watched the way she moved, her determination evident in every stroke of the mop.

Before he knew it, his friend Sunghoon appeared beside him, a knowing grin on his face. "You're not fooling anyone, you know."

Jungwon turned to him, feigning innocence. "What are you talking about?"

Sunghoon chuckled, his eyes flickering to where Bora was working. "You're watching her, aren't you?"

Jungwon's cheeks warmed slightly, but he quickly dismissed it. "I'm just making sure she's cleaning properly."

Sunghoon raised an eyebrow, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Sure, Jungwon. Whatever you say."

As Bora finished her cleaning duty and bid the teacher goodbye. She left the gymnasium and was grateful the day was finally over. She knew she had brought this upon herself, and perhaps it was a lesson in staying focused during class.

She made her way home, her thoughts a mix of the task she had just completed and the strange feeling of being observed during it.

Later in the evening, Bora found herself walking through the park on her way home. She had always found solace in this place, a sanctuary away from the demands of everyday life. She paused at a familiar bench beneath a sprawling tree, the very bench where she had met Jungwon for the first time.

She traced her fingers over the engraving on the bench – their names side by side. The memory of that encounter brought a soft smile to her lips. It had been a chance meeting, a fleeting moment that had left an indelible mark on her heart.

As she sat there, she found herself lost in her thoughts. Her mind wandered to the conversations they had shared, the connection she had felt even in that short span of time. She wondered if they would cross paths again, if fate would bring them together once more.

With a sigh, Bora stood up, her fingertips brushing over the engraved names one last time. She turned away from the bench, a mixture of hope and uncertainty swirling within her. She knew that life was full of unexpected twists, and perhaps, just perhaps, their paths would intersect again.

As she walked away from the bench and the park, Bora carried with her a whispered promise of what could be – a promise that lingered in the air like a gentle breeze, guiding her steps as she headed home.

Bora found herself back in her room, a contented smile on her lips. She cleaned up her space, arranging things with a sense of purpose. The radio softly played in the background, its melodies adding to the peaceful atmosphere.

Lost in her thoughts, Bora didn't pay much attention to the radio until a familiar phrase caught her ears – "lonely hearts." The words seemed to hang in the air, echoing in the corners of her mind. She paused, her mind drifting to the conversations she had shared with Jungwon, the connection that seemed to be growing between them.

Was there something more to that phrase? Were they both just lonely hearts seeking solace in each other's presence? It was a thought that both comforted and perplexed her.

Shaking her head slightly, Bora focused on tidying up her room. She couldn't let herself get lost in the whirlwind of emotions and possibilities. The memory of their meeting in the park, the shared laughter, and the engraved names on the bench were enough to keep her heart warm.

As the radio continued to play, Bora hummed along to the tunes, the lyrics mingling with her thoughts. With each sweep of the broom, each rearranged item, she felt a sense of renewal – a renewal that extended beyond her physical space and into the realm of her emotions.

The phrase "lonely hearts" lingered, but Bora chose to focus on the growing connection between her and Jungwon. The future was uncertain, and the path ahead was uncharted, but as she listened to the music and let the rhythm guide her movements, she found solace in the idea that maybe, just maybe, their hearts weren't as lonely as they once were.
