As Bora approached a familiar bench, she noticed Jungwon sitting there, his face buried in a book.

"Jungwon?" she called out, a mix of surprise and curiosity in her voice.

He looked up from his book, a faint smile touching his lips. "Hey, Bora."

"What are you doing here?" she asked, taking a seat beside him.

Jungwon's eyes held a hint of mischief. "Well, I heard it's someone's birthday today."

Bora's eyes widened in surprise. "How did you know?"

He shrugged casually. "I have my sources."

Bora chuckled, realizing that he must have overheard her friends talking about it. Still, his effort to acknowledge her birthday warmed her heart.

"You didn't have to do anything," she said, a genuine smile spreading across her face.

Jungwon's expression softened. "I wanted to. Birthdays are meant to be celebrated."

As they chatted, Bora noticed an ice cream truck parked nearby. The sight of it brought a playful glint to her eyes. "Hey, how about some ice cream to celebrate?"

Jungwon's lips twitched into a grin. "Why not? It's a special day, after all."

They walked over to the ice cream truck, scanning the array of colorful flavors. Bora chose a scoop of strawberry, her favorite, while Jungwon opted for chocolate. As they walked back to the bench, ice cream in hand, Bora couldn't shake the feeling that this was a moment she would remember.

They sat on the bench, enjoying the cool treats as the sun continued to bathe them in its golden light. The conversation flowed easily between them, as if the walls that had been separating them were slowly melting away.

"So, any special plans for the day?" Jungwon asked, his tone casual.

Bora shrugged, a playful smile on her lips. "Just spending time with friends and family, I guess."

Jungwon nodded thoughtfully. "That sounds nice."

As Bora finished her ice cream,  she was ready to go home,

"Thanks for this," she said, her gratitude evident in her voice.

Jungwon's gaze met hers, and he offered her a small smile. "You're welcome, Bora."

Bora woke up with a sense of anticipation tingling in her veins. Today was her birthday, and she couldn't help but feel excited. She slipped into her favorite outfit, a dress that made her feel confident, and headed to school with a hopeful smile.

In the hallway, her friends Hana and Minji greeted her with bright smiles and small wrapped presents. Bora's heart warmed at their thoughtfulness. As they handed her the gifts, Hana exclaimed, "Happy birthday, Bora!"

Bora thanked them, genuinely touched by their gestures. She couldn't help but feel lucky to have friends who cared about her. The bell rang, signaling the start of classes, and Bora made her way to her classroom, the presents safely stowed in her bag.

As she settled into her seat, Bora noticed a small note placed on her desk, accompanied by a piece of strawberry cake. Her curiosity piqued, she picked up the note and read the words written in neat handwriting: "Happy birthday, Bora. I wish you a wonderful day."

A mixture of surprise and intrigue washed over her. The note was unsigned, and she couldn't help but wonder who could have left it. She glanced around the classroom, but no one seemed to be watching her. Could it be from a secret admirer? Or perhaps a friend trying to cheer her up after the recent tensions?

The bell rang again, signaling the end of the class. Bora carefully wrapped up the cake and tucked the note into her bag. She was determined to savor the cake later and maybe figure out its mysterious sender.

After school, Bora headed to the library to work on her homework. She settled at a corner table, her books spread out in front of her. The library was quiet, providing a peaceful atmosphere for her to concentrate. She carefully unwrapped the cake and set it on a napkin next to her books.

With a fork in hand, she took a bite of the cake. Its sweetness danced on her taste buds, momentarily distracting her from the pile of homework. As she savored each bite, her mind wandered back to the note and its anonymous sender.

Who could it be? Her friends were a possibility, but something about the note felt different. Maybe someone had noticed her recent struggles and wanted to brighten her day. Or perhaps it was someone she didn't know well, someone who had been watching from a distance.

As she continued to work on her homework, she couldn't shake the mystery of the note and cake. It was a small gesture, yet it held an air of intrigue that captivated her thoughts. Bora's heart warmed at the thought that someone cared enough to make her birthday special, even in the midst of the confusion she felt with Jungwon.

With a contented sigh, she finished the last bite of the cake. The mystery of the note remained unsolved, but in that moment, it didn't matter. Bora felt a sense of gratitude for the small surprises that life brought her way, even when things seemed uncertain.

As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow through the library windows, Bora packed up her belongings. The note and the memory of the strawberry cake accompanied her, a reminder that even amidst challenges, there were moments of sweetness that brightened her path.

Happy Birthday Bora.
