The morning sun cast a gentle glow through the curtains of Bora's bedroom, signaling the start of a new day.

She had invited Jungwon and Niki over for a project session at her house, a change of scenery from the classroom. Bora's mother, always gracious, welcomed them with a warm smile as they entered her home.

"Mom, we're going upstairs to work on the project," Bora informed her, her friends following suit. Her mother's eyes twinkled with understanding, a knowing nod.

In Bora's cozy room, Niki couldn't resist a tease. "Your bedroom looks like it could use a makeover," he teased, a smirk tugging at his lips, earning a playful slap from Bora. Laughter filled the room as they settled down Jungwon quietly took a seat on her desk chair, his lips curving into a small smile at their antics.

"Anyone up for some tea?" Bora suggested, seeing their eager nods in response. She disappeared into the kitchen and returned moments later with three steaming mugs of fragrant tea. The aroma mingled with their excited chatter, creating a comfortable atmosphere of camaraderie.

Their discussions flowed seamlessly as ideas bounced between them like a friendly game of catch. Niki suddenly excused himself, announcing his need for a bathroom break. Bora led him out, leaving Jungwon to engage in their project conversation.

Just then, a soft knock resounded at the door. Bora's mother entered, holding a plate laden with freshly baked cookies. "I thought you might need some fuel for your brains," she winked, her affectionate gesture eliciting appreciative smiles from the trio.

As Bora turned to step back into her room, her foot caught on the edge of the carpet. A gasp escaped her as her body began to tip forward, in an instant, Jungwon was there, his strong arms wrapping around her to prevent her fall. Time seemed to pause as their eyes met, Bora found herself locked in Jungwon's gaze, a rush of warmth flooding her cheeks.

In the midst of this almost-magical moment, the door creaked open, revealing Niki with an amused grin. "What the hell were you two doing?" he exclaimed, breaking the spell. "This is not a drama."

Embarrassment tinted their cheeks as they hurriedly stepped apart. The cookies remained safe, but Bora's foot throbbed faintly from her slip.

As the day drew to a close, Jungwon, and Niki prepared to head home. They made their way downstairs to say their farewells. Bora's mother greeted them once again, a fond smile gracing her lips as she wished them well.

Bora's younger brother, Yuki, giggling over something on his phone.

"What are you laughing at, Yuki?" Bora asked curiously.

Yuki's eyes sparkled mischievously as he turned his phone toward her. On the screen was a short video - the moment she slipped, and Jungwon's quick reflexes to catch her. Her face reddened as she watched the clip. "Yuki, you little troublemaker!" she exclaimed, laughing despite herself.

With a shrug, Yuki offered a cheeky grin. "I thought it was funny!"

As Bora and her brother shared a light-hearted moment, she couldn't help but think that sometimes, it's these unexpected instances that bring people closer together.
