Y/n's Pov

I woke up early to the small slits of light peeking through the blinds cascading on my face making it impossible to escape its brightness. I shifted to prevent my eyes from burning out of their sockets. I waved my hand over the other side of the king bed searching for a body. When my hand only found cold sheets I knew he was already up. I unlocked my phone to see it was barely 6am. Why is he up so early? I ever so slowly got out of the warm comforts of bed and wrapped a small blanket around my shoulders to fight the sudden chill that had made goosebumps appear on my skin. I walked down the long cold hallway before rounding the corner to be met with the large windows that surrounded the living and kitchen area. Me and Justin were a sucker for a good view and I loved those windows. I saw a familiar figure sitting outside on one of the chairs just silently watching the world pass him by. This had become a common scene since we moved from L.A.
Justin and I both wanted privacy so we moved into a house in the country side just outside of L.A. so Justin was still relatively close to the studio and I could still commute to work. Ever since the move Justin has seemed so much happier. He was desperate to escape L.A and its constant chaos. I had to admit it was quieter and I felt more at ease.
I walked forward trying to be as quiet as I could so I wouldn't disturb Justin in his deep thinking. I stepped onto the patio that was slightly warm thanks to the early morning rays. His silhouette was so majestic. It highlighted every muscle and made his skin glow in an ethereal way that made him seem statuesque. I smiled at this boy who had captured my heart. I walked up behind him wrapping my arms around his neck and placing my head on top of his.
"Good morning." I smiled as he kissed my hands and put a hand on my arm. "Enjoying an early morning?" I asked as I shifted to sit in the chair next to him grabbing his hand, lacing my fingers with his
"You could say that." He smiled at me, I slightly gasped as he turned his head and the light made his normally dark eyes a light brown with flecks of green and darker brown. "Why are you up? Did I wake you up?" He asked studying my face. I shook my head no and we both looked out over the rolling hills as the sound of the pool filled the air. The air smelled crisp and clean something the heavy pollution of L.A. lacked. Since we have moved here I have noticed how many things you lose when you move to a big city, like fresh air, stars, less traffic, and most importantly quiet. An atmosphere of tranquility had fallen over us as we just watch the world wake up.
"Do you miss the city?" I asked Justin although I could guess the answer. I just wanted to hear his gruff voice.
"Fuck no. I hope I never move back." He sighed never taking his eyes of the bright horizon. "I finally feel as if I have some privacy and a life without looking out my front window seeing paparazzi and fans. I mean don't get me wrong I love my fans but sometimes I just need a break from people constantly seeing what I'm doing." He sighed looking at me with sad eyes. I felt my heart break because sometimes I took the liberties I had for granted. While yes I get some backlash because I'm his girlfriend, but the paparazzi usually only bother me when he is with me and they scream obscene things at us trying to get a reaction. His fans will occasionally recognize me and say hello but mostly leave me alone when it's just me. I remember the turning point when Justin demanded we move. He had been browsing the internet,(which is most of the time his instagram), and had found pictures of me and him swimming in the pool. Sudden realization hit as the people who took those had to be in the backyard, meaning they had climbed two tall fences or walked around the whole block to slip into the small passage way behind every house. He felt like that was the biggest invasion of privacy yet and wanted away from the city and everyone in it.
I think the real reason he wanted to move was that this place reminded him of home, and he was missing it tremendously. While I happily obliged to move I have seen such a change in him. He is less tense and happier, he feels as if he has finally found an oasis.
"It's just so chaotic in the city." He sighed snapping me from my inner tangent. "Everyone running around, dudes in fancy cars speeding down the boulevard causing accidents and then getting pissed that their precious car is ruined. Girls clacking down the street in high heels carrying tiny dogs and followed by butlers carrying thousands of bags of stuff they probably already have. Most importantly the noise. I have so much in my head already but the constant noise of everything makes me feel like I have no room to think." He said sadly and I squeezed his hand to let him know I was there and understood his points. "But up here I don't see any of that. It's just so tranquil and I can actually hear birds chirping in the early morning and see vibrant stars at night. It's like I forgot there were such beautiful things over the cities constant screams." I smiled at him which he returned and gave me a small kiss on the cheek.
"How long have you been up? Honestly." I glared his eyes looked so tired like they haven't see sleep in ages.
"4 am. I just had to come clear my head." He sighed giving me a weak smile. Justin goes through phases where he just has so much boiling in his brain until he can't take it anymore and has a break down. Since the big move he has more time to sit and clear his head. Another change I noticed is that he actually wants to be home. In the city he would avoid the house as much as possible, preferring the dark, windowless studio as his one place of privacy. Now it's like he doesn't want to leave, and I'm okay with that. I have seen him so much more and I get cuddles and movie dates out of it, so it perfectly fine by me.
"You have to be exhausted." I said as I saw him yawn.
"Yeah, but I couldn't sleep with all the racket up here." He said pointing to his head for emphasis. I giggled at him before grabbing his hand and pulling him from the chair. I lead him back to bed before laying him down.
"You get some sleep and i'll have breakfast ready before you even wake up." I smiled kissing his forehead.
"Why are you not coming back to bed?" He pouted.
"I kinda want my early morning thinking session." I giggled brushing his hair from his face taking note that his eyes had turned back to the dark brown abyss. He nodded; clearly sleep was taking him over by the second. I left the room making my way back to the patio just sitting with my feet dangling in the pool. I was counting my blessings and Justin was number one.
