Chapter 20 - Dance

Danica complied, she turned to Jane's direction and found that Jane was in an uncomfortable state. She walked to the stage where the prince stood waiting for her and his eyes never leaving hers, his eyes are full of questions but she will answer them later , they just have to give the people a very good show.

He stretched out his arm , she took his hand and he brought her flush against him and they waltzed around to the beat of the song. He brought his mouth to her ear.

'What is this? Did you plan to break me today?'

'how do you mean?' she mutters very low.

'This song....it makes me weak , I share it with Jane' he whispered looking at her in the eyes.

He twirled her around on the dance floor and brought her close again . ' I'm sorry Hans I knew nothing about this song '

Her hands went around his neck and his hand grab her thighs as he spun her round.

'Jane would be mad at me, Danica can you see if she's okay?' Prince Hans muttered quickly as she snaked around him In circles and she buys time to quickly glance at Jane who is imbued with jealousy , it is evident in her eyes but she doesn't know.

Danica returns to his front and he holds her waist.

'Obviously, she's not okay' she said to his ears.

The people watch the two dance and the Queen is overjoyed as she sees that love the both of them are exuding for one another.

'Its happening again, I can't do this, their eyes, I want to lea...'

She twirled away from him gracefully and returned holding his face  in an instance with him grabbing her thighs again.
'Look at me...' she said in a daze , she was getting dizzy from the dance as she breathed. '..and focus on the music, avoid their eyes and think only about us'.

The prince nods and just like she casted a spell, he didn't care that anyone was watching. First he spun her around, winds her to his knee and brings her back to her feet.

They focused only on each other and he held his hands up she did the same and they clasped it together , going round in circles gazing at each other.

'They look so adorable together ' Jacob complimented and Jane remains silent as she tries to look away from them but she can't.

Prince Hans lifted Danica and twirls her around him , holding her tightly as ever as her hips buck in rhythm to the song and he follows . They spread their arms wide and come back to each other.

She lands on him with one knee drawn up and his hands on her waist. The song comes to an end as she holds his face and they bump their heads together, sharing the same breath. The people cheer and applaud in admiration.

'Thank you' he breathes with his eyes closed.

'You're welcome ' she mutters in low breath and eyes shut too and in that moment, She didn't want to leave his arms, she didn't want to stop holding this face , his face is full of sweat and her body is sweaty too but they enjoyed the dance and she's glad that they danced.

She gets off him as they give the people a slight bow and head to their seat hand in hand.

They were served water immediately and the master of the ceremony announced that the next theme was a speech from the king. The king steps into the podium and the people rise and curtsy.

'You've really surprised me today Danica' the prince says looking at his phone, she turns to him.

'I'm glad I did, at last I can get the request '

'you're allowed to make only one request '

'That's not a big deal, as long as you'd Grant it' she smirked.

After the King's speech, was the general dance with the people, this was from everyone.

The couples in the event gather at the dance floor Jacob takes Jane with him as she frowns in disgust.
The prince look at Danica.

'This is your chance to have a dance with her , go ahead' Danica pushed him.

He smiled and took her hand , leading her to the dance floor with him.
'What are you doing Hans?  we just had a dance!' her heels clacking behind her.

'i cannot go without my partner' he mutters as the music begins.  Nobody gets me by Sza.

The people begin by waltzing with their partners, The prince steps forward with his left foot and Danica follows with her right.

Jacob leads the dance as Jane follows his steps while lurking her eyes at Hans and Danica. The music changes to Perfect by Camila Cabello and Nicholas Galitzine .

They switch partners but the prince is still with Danica.

'why don't you guys sort everything out now?'

He nods and winds to the center searching for her, Danica lands in the arms of a young man. Prince Hans finds Jane and takes her away from Jacob, He gazed deeply at her and holds her flush to him.

'I know you're mad at me, so let's just talk' He says and twirls her before she responds.

'I don't know where to start, it was a  misunderstanding...I mean with Jacob, he already knew I was wearing green'

Another lady winds to the prince as he looks back at Jane while she's dancing with another man, her eyes are at the prince's.

She twirls to his arm. 'And Danica?, She's wearing Green too'

'It was supposed to be a surprise, I don't know how she figured out what I was wearing'

'surprise?' She asks.

The prince twirls to another and this time it was Danica .

'How is it going?' Danica asked.

'i'm not sure,but she needs explanations'

'Can I explain it to her myself?'

'How?' he asks bemused.
