Chapter 29 - An earl for a Reason

Danica took the prince for a ride to her home. And it was where he requested to visit.

They drove into the compound , the Earl is a very wealthy man and one can tell with all the luxury.

"Come on" she said as they came down from the car and went into the house.

The Earl and the Countess were surprised to see the prince in the house and they welcomed him warmly.

"We're happy to receive you into our house, your Grace" the Earl greeted warmly. "We were just heading to the field , care to join us ?"

Danica nodded as the Earl and the Countess both left to the field.

"So, do you want to join us?" Danica asked the prince. "At least, to get your mind off things for a while."

"What game are they playing ?" The prince asked her.

"There's basketball, Football and Golf depends on whatever they choose, come on ! Let's go."

"So , what happens if I defeat them?" The prince asked coyly.

Danica chuckled in amusement. "Don't you ever underestimate my father, so far I'm the only one who has stood up against him."

The prince put his hands on his hips and Snickers . "If you are the only one who can stand up against him , then there's no point in playing..."

"Shut it," they both burst out in laughter. "You're just calling your bluff, but there is only one way to find out, shall we?"

He smiled at her and they both went to the field.

"Ready to have your Asses whooped?!" The Earl called.

"Yes father, but only this time, we'll be the ones with the whip!"

They all chorused in laughter ""It's been a while we played Golf, Let's try" the countess said.

They all took to their positions and the Earl began playing.

The first round was quite easy for the prince and Danica to win, but the second round which is the final round awoke the Earl's wits.

The prince and Danica were leading with 11 points while the Earl and countess had 7 points.

When suddenly they all came to a draw of 13-13 , Danica played the last one and she lost , the countess played the last one and when everyone thought she would lost , Her shot went bumply into the hole.

"Woohoo!" The Earl praised and gave his wife a hug.

The prince approached them with a smile on his face. "I must say, I'm impressed with your skills , Mr Robbins, and to you Countess, you're an exceptional skillful woman!"

"You're so kind"the countess answered.

"I doubted Danica , when she told me you're a great player, Mr Robbins ...you should come to the court more often"

"Of course, I'm an Earl for a reason"

They all laughed out.

Danica and the prince went around the house, and he was marveled at her artworks , portraits , and different stickers in their gallery.

He paused on his steps when they were at the Garden. "Thank you for bringing me to your home, Danica" she smiled. "I didn't expect you to bring me here, but I'm really impressed"

"It's the least I could do" she answered.

The smile disappeared from his face and he turned to face her.

"What would you do , when you go to Brooklyn?"

She paused in her thoughts. She is very clueless.

"I'll probably start a new life, and begin anew"

"I just want you to know that you can always hit me up, and don't forget we're still partners"

"I won't" she shook her head.

"I'll be heading home now, Good luck!"

She waved at him and he left.
