Special Chapter
Landon and I went back to my condo after Elyse's wedding reception. It was already late at buong araw na kaming nagkakasiyahan kasama ang mga kaibigan namin. But Landon insisted that I should control my alcohol consumption kahit nandyan siya sa tabi ko buong gabi. He could be overprotective at times.
Pagdating sa condo, inalis ko agad ang cardigan na nakabalot sa silky black dress na suot ko. Pinatong ko ito sa sofa habang nasa wine rack naman si Landon at naghahanap ng maiinom. He opened a bottle of red wine at nagsalin sa dalawang wine glasses. He gave me the other glass. We were both busy at the event that we didn't have time to enjoy some good liquor.
We both stared at the glimmering city lights below from the glass wall while both of us shared a drink in our formal attires. After a few minutes of comfortable silence, Landon hugged me from behind, planting a kiss on my exposed shoulder.
"We've been in three weddings in the last six months," he whispered to my ear. "When will it be ours this time?"
Napangiti ako. "Naiinggit ka ba?" tukso ko.
"Nagkabalikan lang tayo six months ago."
"But we've been engaged for nearly four years, remember?" His warm breath fanned my neck.
"Pwede ka pang umatras," biro ko sa kanya.
Ibinaba niya ang empty wine glass sa isang table. "Let me help you with that."
