The doctor went quickly through the exams under Yohan's watchful eyes, not even asking to be left alone with his patient when he noticed the petrified look the younger gave Kang-ssik. It was slightly worrying but expected as the young man fled almost immediately into the elder's arms when the examination was over.

Fortunately, he could tell the intimidating man that the injuries were healing as they were supposed to and the night outside the hospital hadn't led to any complications. He didn't want to ever give Kang Yohan bad news involving the young Associate Judge. The way he held the man even while his face was a cold, impenetrable mask - betraying nothing of what he felt - was enough for even a blind person to see their bond. He pitied the person unlucky enough to try to get in between them.

After a small dinner and short phone call with Elijah, Yohan led Gaon to his room, watching warmly as the younger slipped under the thick covers.

"I'll be just down the corridor, Gaon," he told him, reluctant to leave.

He wanted to stay but he couldn't, now that he had realised the depth of is feelings.

"Sleep well."

He had to leave before Gaon asked him to stay again because he knew himself good enough to know he wouldn't turn him down. But Yohan needed a break from the whirlwind of emotions he lately experienced. It was too much too soon.

"Hyu-"

He pulled the door shut behind him, barely managing to walk slowly to his bedroom. His mind was a mess, heart battling against brain, rationality against feelings. Absentmindedly, he stepped into the bathroom.

Gaon stared at the closed door thoughtfully. It was clear that something bothered the elder, but Gaon couldn't figure out what it was. Was he embarrassed to have told him about the time he'd been powerless? Ashamed that he'd let something like that happen to him? But that was ridiculous and if he did, Gaon would have to take drastic measures.

Or what if it was something else? Perhaps he was being too much again?

The brunet only noticed he'd left his room when he found himself staring at the dark door of Yohan's room, hand raised to knock. Nibbling on his lip, he considered his next actions shortly. Yohan had left before he had the chance to ask him to stay and he wasn't sure if it had been an indirect rejection; but he'd never know if he didn't ask him.

Gaon needed Yohan to stay with him, the prospect of sleeping alone unsettling him more than he'd like to admit. Yohan was his safety, his home, and his alone. Mind made up he knocked softly, entering cautiously when he got no reply.

Scanning the room curiously, he slowly settled on the large bed to wait for Yohan as he listened to the shower running, decidedly not allowing his thoughts to wonder how it would feel to be with him now. Would Yohan's slender fingers caress his body tenderly, nails massaging his scalp deftly or would he crowd him against the wall, bodies pressed together as his hands roamed teasingly across his body, lips following the trails of water drops possessively? Would Yohan be gentle, or would he let Gaon feel that incredible fire of want again?

He imagined Yohan's heated eyes on him – dark and like melted obsidian – as he leaned closer and closer, their bodies touching, and this time no annoying fabric stopped him from feeling steely muscles directly. Subconsciously, his hands twisted into the clack covers as his lips parted slightly at the picture.

Suddenly, the bathroom door opened and Gaon's throat dried up, heart racing as his eyes took in the man. His imagination didn't do him justice. Gaon wanted his fingers in those wet, wild curls and his lips on the glistening skin.
