1 month later
"Oh my goodness, who do we have here?"
Nora couldn't stop herself from smiling as a tiny little baby, was presented to her, her little head popping out the top of her blanket where she was layed in her car seat, that was held bu a very protective and proud father."This is alora. Alora rae Joanne sugg, and she is exactly a month old today"
Dianne had the same expression on her face too. A smile that was so wide, so real that if she had known this was how she was going to feel, 9 months ago, she wouldn't of believed it. Where they were now seemed like a dream but they were living in it and it was so surreal."She is beautiful. So little. I wasn't expecting her to come so early"
Nora allowed the couple to sit down infront of her and she took her seat, ready for a conversation she knew would just complete everything. She could see they were happy."I know, she definitely surprised us"
Joe joined the conversation, placing the car seat infront of them, so their eyes couldn't be taken off the little girl he had fallen so in love with the past 4 weeks."Definitely. I wasn't expecting to get a message from you saying she was here 6 weeks early, but I'm assuming the timing was just perfect?"
She asked."Of course. We get an extra 6 weeks of loving her"
"You had pre eclampsia, right?"
This was going to be the final therpay session. They knew they didn't need it anymore. They were happy and even though they were still learning, this was a bubble nobody could pop, even if they tried."Yeah, so we had to get her out otherwise I was at risk of infection. My waters broke and 30 hours later, she was here"
Dianne explained still not quite comprehending how her body had housed this whole human and was able to feed her and give birth to her. It had been hard but she was so in love and didn't want it to end."Was it difficult?"
"In terms of pain, I think I was ok, it was just that my mentality wasn't the best. I had prepared myself so much but everything was flipped on its head. We hadn't had a very good week leading up to it and I was really nervous about what was going to happen between us but her arrival was her way of saying that we are meant to be"
She explained."What do you mean you didn't have the best of weeks? What happened?"
Nora asked, hoping either one of them were ready to share."We had an argument and dianne got quite angry. I thought it would be best to respect the fact she wanted to spend some time aprt ao that she didn't get upset. We were still living together but it was silent and just...cold"
Joe told her, still feeling bad for how he had treated dianne back then. It hadn't been right of him, and she had been upset."That's why I think me going into labour early was a blessing in disguise. She wanted to come now to help fix us and work on ourselves. She definitely changed everything the second she got here. Even before"
Dianne contuined."I don't think I would of been able to do it without joe"
She confessed but it was so true.
If he wasn't there, she wouldn't of been able to get through it. He had held her hand, stroked her hair and encouraged her when she needed it the most and she wouldn't of wanted anyone else but him. He was just perfect and proved to her, why she had had taken him back."He got me through it and if he hadn't been there, I dont think I'd be here now......."
_________
"Were going to have to induce you because your waters have broken. Congratulations..."
The midwife announced, sending a million different emotions through dianne, but congratulations wasn't one of them. She was only 34 weeks, their baby wasn't full term and now she was going to be giving birth within the next couple of days.
