I don't need to justify or explain who I am or my identity, especially with how exhausting it can get having to educate people. I just simply am who I am and who I will strive to be.
I'm not inhuman or incapable of other kinds of love or emotion. Even those lacking emotion are human, so why let the words of other people define who we are?
People try to pity or look down on others for being aromantic or asexual. They may think it's a choice or that someone must be lonely just because they don't feel the same way that they do. It's a harmful misconception and I hope more representation is given across the board because generalizing entire groups never goes down well.
I love who I am and I want to appreciate who I may come to be. So, no matter what the present or future hold- I know that I will continue to be.
