"Noona, calm down!!"

["Kai, why didn't you call me earlier?!" Lea yelled.

"I'm sorry!"

She let out a loud sigh of frustration from the other side of the line.

["Where are you now?"]

"Somewhere safe," Kai reassured her.

["TELL ME WHERE!!"]

"Gee Lea, I'm 20 years old, not a child!"

["Still!"]

"You were the one who sent me on this trip, dumbass!"

["KAI KAMAL HUENING!"]

Annnd he was screwed.

"Fine... the clerk of the motel gave me an address, I used the GPS to look for it—"

["Oh my god not you and GPSs—"]

"Lea, I swear, I mostly paid attention!"

Kai swore he heard Lea's eye roll.

"Look, I got distracted by the scenery. Bali is gorgeous! There's so much to see that I've never laid eyes on!"

["Judging from your voice, you seem enthusiastic."]

"I am. But anyways, then my car broke down—"

["That's it, come back home."]

Kai burst out laughing.

"Lea!"

["I'm serious! Why is everything going wrong already, like who the heck would give you a car that isn't even half filled with gas?!"]

"Beats me. But still, I can't come back yet, the return flight isn't until next month. And if you tried to rebook it, we might have to sell the house, right?"

Lea sighed.

["Fine, you win."]

Screw planes for being so costly.

["So, where are you now?"] she ended up asking.

"In a vacation house. I met someone in the forest who's vacationing here too, and he took me back to where he's staying."

["He's not some kidnapper right?"]

"LEAAAA!!"

["Sorry!! I'm just worried; I really can't believe my booking would cancel itself!"]

"It's not your fault. But the person I met is really nice, and my age too I think; he's from Korea, so I'm getting some extra practice with the language."

["Really?"]

"Yeah, he even said I can stay in this house longer, so... maybe there's a possibility I can stay here the whole trip?"

["That's would be good to be honest... Indonesia is currently packed with tourists as it's August."]

"True... I'm gonna go now, okay?"

["Fine. Take care of yourself and be careful."]

"I will. Can you hug Hiyyih for me?"

["Yes. Bye Kai."]

"Bye Lea."

Kai hung up and sighed.

Even though his sister's nagging was a bit too much... Kai couldn't deny that he missed her already, and Bahiyyih too.
