Congratulations, Day6.

Beam opened the front door slowly.

His body was engulfed with exhaustion on his way back.

It turned out that it was really hard to get a ride from Siam Mall due to heavy traffic after dinner hour. He had to wait for thirty minutes just to get a ride, and another fifteen minutes for his ride to arrive at the pick-up point.

The drive home ended up taking another extra hour of his rest time. Beam would like to sleep in the back seat on his way home, but his brain constantly told him to stay awake.

To make it worse, eating food that was filled with different spices had caused his body to sweat even more than usual. Beam hated the feeling of his shirt sticking to his back, so he was even more uncomfortable being stuck in a closed space for almost an hour.

Walking through the hallway of his dark apartment, Beam wordlessly took off his shirt and pants on his way towards the bathroom. He did not care to grab a change of clothes and threw his clothes into the clothing basket. He knew fully well that Perm was not home.

He rarely was, anyway.

Shutting the bathroom door closed, Beam turned the shower knob and let the cold water shower him. Beam closed his eyes shut and faced the shower head.

It truly felt like he was being rained on in the middle of a storm.

The man lowered his head and finally opened his eyes. He could feel his eyes were slightly burning, either from the shower or from the coldness he felt creeping into his heart.

He had always hated rain.

But somehow he found comfort being rained by the cold water droplets that night.

Beam wanted to scream out loud. He had been wishing to yell his heart out since the first time Perm had cheated on him, honestly. Especially last week when the guy shamelessly showed his face as if he had nothing to hide.

He wished he was as confident as Pha, or as outspoken as Kit. Maybe that way, he would not be treated like this. Maybe that way, Perm would actually feel guilty or at least anxious over his wrongdoings.

"I really hate this..." Beam muttered under his breath.

He let the tears fall from his eyes, dropping onto the cold floor and mixing in with the water from the shower head.

The image of the young couple happily enjoying their time together flashed through his mind briefly. But that brief second he was reminded of that scene, Beam wanted to cry even more.

How he wished his relationship was happy like that. Beam only wished for such simple happiness. But why?

Why did Perm keep on betraying his trust and chances again and again?

Why did he have to fall for Perm? For his deceits played as promises? Why did Beam have to fall for a person who broke his heart multiple times and got away with it?

Beam blinked his tears away.

He wondered how he accepted the guy's apology too easily even though Beam himself knew that he was not feeling as fine as he claimed to be, after countless chances given to the other guy.

Beam chuckled bitterly. He was really a fool for forgiving the person who brutally broke his heart repeatedly without a slight care. He even thought that he was not enough when he first found out Perm had been cheating on him.

Beam was a fool to keep his eyes blinded with false hope and false promises he gave to himself. When he perfectly knew that Perm would never change. If he wanted to, Perm would have done so a long time ago.

The guy did not have to wait for almost three years to change.

Beam bitterly muttered: "Just why did I have to fall in love with Perm out of all the people in this world?"

The young pediatrician blinked once. And then twice.

Beam had always loved the wind at the mountaintop. He remembered how much he loved the wind hitting his entire body, as if it wanted to fly him away and crash his body to the ground.

Regardless, Beam enjoyed the feeling of being hugged by the wind, of it kissing his face harshly.

Perm was just like that.

Except the guy actually crashed his heart to the ground.

He was like the strong wind that came to knock Beam off. Beam, unfortunately, loved that kind of wind. He loved it enough to keep staying, keep forgiving, keep...

Hurting.

Beam chuckled softly, turning the shower knob.

"Such a fool..." Beam said, amusement could be heard from his tone.

"I'm such a fool."
