Did I Do The Right Thing

It's been about two months since Kakashi and I started dating. Everythings been great for the most part but I can't help but notice that every time I go to hug or kiss him he tenses up. It feels like he doesn't want me to do it but doesn't want to tell me no at the same time. I would love to talk to him about this but he has the day off and I have board meetings all day.

There was a knock at the door.

"Come in".

"Sorry to interrupt Obito but this came in for you". Kazumi said placing a wrapped Bento box on my desk. I looked at the tag but all it said was "Please delivery to Mr. Obito Uchiha"

"Thanks, Kazumi".

"Are you seeing someone?

I smiled. "Something like that". "Well regardless, I hope he or she makes you happy". "Thank you". He smiled and left. I carefully unwrapped the bandana that was around the box and opened it to find another note.

                 I know I have the day off but I wanted to make sure you had lunch still. I hope you like it.

I smiled. Inside the box were hard-boiled eggs, noodles with grilled chicken mixed into it. Broccoli and a mixture of fruits as well as a small salad.

                               

Lunch was delicious but I couldn't help but let my mind wander back to what it previously was on.

Does he feel like I forced him into this? I am his boss. Did he only agree to date me because he was afraid there would be bad repercussions if he didn't? Does he think that low of me? Does he really think I'd fire him because he hurt my feelings?

I couldn't help it. I knew it would only cause me more distress but I saved the progress of my current design on my computer and searched up anything I could find about boss and co-worker relationships.

Mark Richardson and Amanda Rodriguez- Amanda started working for Mark shortly after graduating from college. She was informed about the job opportunity from one of her friends that worked at the company. She met with Mark personally for the interview and was hired by him a week later.

Amanda was a hard worker and got along great with her fellow co-workers but things soon changed for her. Over time Mark would ask her to come to his office at random times to run errands for him and would often have her stay behind after work for overtime.

Her being new to her city and fresh out of college needed the money to pay off her student debts. When Mark proposed the idea of them being in a relationship she felt she had no other choice but to say yes. Her family wasn't in the country and during school she was only able to go thanks to a student visa, she registered for a work visa when applying for jobs.

Mark knew this and she was afraid of being deported so said yes agreeing to everything he wanted.

Alex Martin and Veronica Anderson-Veronica is a single mother of two. Growing up her family was always poor having to frequently move from house to house. Sometimes they would stay at friends houses and when things were really bad they lived in a homeless shelter.

Veronica's mother worked at a convenience store while her father worked at a gas station. She has an older brother, attended school regularly, and graduated with flying colors. She attended college on a scholarship and where she juggled school and a part-time job wanting to send money to her parents.

There is where she met the father of her children, Jack Lauren. He was her first-ever love and pictured a full life with him by her side but after their second child was born he left her for the girl he was cheating on her with.

Shortly after learning about all of this Alex threatened to cut back her hours unless she became his girlfriend. She agreed and ended up becoming manager along with having three more kids. Her parents live comfortably next door to her and her brother has a steady job, home, and relationship.

Carlos Wilson and Alicia Kingston- Alicia applied to work for Carlos after having job-hopped for the last year. Both her parents are deceased causing her to take full custody of her younger brother who has medical needs.

When hired by Mr. Wilson she worked hard, kept her head down, and always did as told. She never complained about her work or her co-workers. When Carlos found out about this he called her in for a meeting and questioned her about her commitment. She begged and pleaded for her job and he agreed not to fire her on the basis she becomes his wife.

I looked for information on any legal cases that may have taken place but found none.

None of these women pressed any charges. Is this what Kakashi's afraid of? Is this what he thinks of me?
