Tyler

"When we get in there, don't make yourself really awkward, dudes hate it when girls are awkward on the first impression," Alec says as we walk towards the gym.

I gave him an amusing look. He looks at me. Did he really think I'm awkward on the first impression? Who does he think he's talking to? Neville Longbottom?

"Not saying that you are awkward, Tyler." he corrects himself.

I nod my head. "Mmhm."

He stops me when I was about to open the doors. I frown at him, and he has a concerned look on his face. He looks into the gym, since the door was a glass door, and looks back at me.

"I just want to let you know though," he says in a low voice, "the guys can be a little too... aggressive on girls."

I arched a brow, "Should I get bodyguards?"

"No." he chuckles. "But just try to keep your distance from the guys who are too desperate for a girl."

He opens the door and holds it for me. He grins at me widely, and I laugh. Okay... Don't talk to guys who are aggressive. So only speak to the guys Alec introduces to me. Got it. Oh wait!

"Alec--" I call out, but he was walking further into the gym.

I look around while quickly walking for him. If he didn't want me talking to aggressive guys, he shouldn't be leaving me like that. He brought me here. How rude!

He walks up to a guy who is a bit shorter than he is, and just a little bit less muscular than he is. He had a square face; groomed, high arched eyebrows; medium long black hair; a refined nose, and a mole on his cheek. Wait, I remember him!

I came up behind Alec; he was talking to this guy. He turns his head when I lightly bumped into him. He puts his arm around my shoulders and pulled me into his side.

"Ethan, you remember, Tyler." he beamed.

Ethan looks at me and smiles. "Yeah, I remember you walking around in his apartment in the middle of the night for a snack." he jokes.

I laugh. "I was really hungry that night."

He giggles and holds out his hand. "I'm Ethan. It's nice to meet you for real."

I grab his hand, giving it a firm shake. "Nice meeting you too, Ethan."

He lets go of my hand and leans over the racks of dumb bells. "So what brings you here, Tyler? I've never seen you at the gym."

"I'm just here with Alec today. I didn't have anything better to do today so I'm just following him like a little puppy." I say, looking at Alec.

Ethan laughs. "Ah ha... He's showing his girlfriend around to his friends?" he says, sounding like he's about to choke.

He playfully hits Alec at his abdominal a few times. When Alec didn't have a reaction, Ethan stops, looking between him and me.

"Wait... you two aren't dating?" he asks, frowning.

I shook my head.

A bunch of people have thought Alec and I were dating. Before we would say that we were just really good friends, but since a people actually came up to us and asked us if we were, we would just give them a blank stare. It gets annoying after awhile-- it really does. Hearing the same question over and over again. It's sort of like listening to the same song all day. You'll enjoy it, but then after a number of repeats, you just want to burn the song.
