Tyler
"You better not leave me while I'm in there, Alec." I whisper as we climb up the stairs to my apartment.
"I wasn't planning on leaving you anyway." he says, hearing the smile in his voice.
We reach the door. I stared at the door, hesitating. You can do this, Tyler. You will win this fight. I tell myself. My heart is beating really fast, anxious about what happens next. I take in a deep breath, trying to calm myself, and lifted my hand. I knocked on the door a few times.
"You don't have the keys?" Alec asks.
I turn my head. "No."
Why didn't I bring my keys with me?
The door opens, and behind it was my mother. Sweaty, hair oily, and eyes bloodshot. Her eyes widened when she saw me, and she covered her mouth with her hands. I felt like crying. She looked so beaten up, so tired-- so sad. She started to make inhuman noises as she cried, and I wrap my arms around her. I scrunch up my nose.
Did she not take a shower this past week?
I pull back, not wanting to smell anymore of her odor. She wipes her tears from her cheeks, sniffs, then puts her hands on her hips. I felt Alec's hand on my back.
I wasn't planning on leaving you anyway. His words echoed in my mind.
"What are you doing here, Tyler?" she asks, her voice hoarse and tight, "Are you ready to come back?"
I purse my lips. "No, I'm not here to come back," I answer, shaking my head.
I leaned around to look into my apartment. Oh. My. Freaking. Gosh... What happened in here?!
I take a step in my apartment to get a better look. Alec steps in behind me. I gasped. Everything is ruined! My couch had stains on it, my table was filled with beer bottles and empty chip bags, and there were stains on the carpet as well. I bet that's from Josh's weasel.
I walk into the kitchen, and it is way worse. There was a gallon of milk on the floor near the counter. What the heck. There was an ash tray filled with cigarettes on my dining table. Gross. And there were... papers on the table. I walk to the table to take a closer look at the papers.
I picked on up and it read:
Taking Down The Girl
- Wait until she is completely oblivious of my plan.
- Get some of my buddies to hook me up with a gun, preferably a Glock.
- Get her to come with me alone.
- Use her for pleasure.
- Torture her
- Pull out my pistol and then kill her.
My head started to spin. I put the paper down on the table. He's planning on... killing me. And use me for his pleasure? I started to feel sick to my gut. I felt like throwing up.
"He has a plan, Tyler. I don't know what it is, but I'm scared for you."
Brianna's words echoed in my mind. She was right. She should be scared for me. Alec picked up the piece of paper and read it.
How could he think of killing me? Why kill me? This is surreal right now. I'm being threatened about getting raped and killed. By my own father.
My mouth hanged open when a though came into mind. I turn around to my mother. She was leaning on the wall near the kitchen entrance.
