A/N: Hello children! Hope you're doing well! Anyway, sorry it's been a bit. I was planning on writing sooner but suddenly my motivation fell off a cliff and took a bit to climb back up. Anyway, this is going to be a modern AU once again (I'm sorry I swear I'll do the regular AU soon-) and both are in high school! Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Walking home with his friend they laugh together before parting ways. Asta walks to his apartment with the usual bright smile on his face. He unlocked his apartment and threw his bag on the floor. It hits the ground with a bam.

He throws himself on the couch with a loud sigh. The platinum blond turns on the TV and relaxes instead of doing homework. He begins to get drowsy despite the TV blaring loudly. Before his eyes droop close there is the sound of a doorbell ringing throughout his apartment. He lets out a groan of annoyance and gets up from the comfy couch to open the door.

Upon lazily swinging the door open, he sees short, messy black hair. Seeing this, it's as if his energy is immediately restored. "Well, what brings you here?" He said smugly, but also with a cheery tone.

He welcomes the boy into his apartment with no delay. Asta sits on the couch, putting one of his legs up on the couch, and rests his face on his knee. The boy sits next to him in a more proper manner. Sitting with both feet on the ground and his hands in his lap.

"Making sure you do the homework I know you have." Asta's face immediately drops into a frown and a groan is let out as his head falls to the back of the couch. Yuno lets out a small chuckle at this. "C'mon, you don't want to be failing classes, do you?" "I'm not failing! I have an A in P.E!" Yuno sighed, crossing his arms and shaking his head. "That's an extracurricular activity, it doesn't count. In your other classes, you have C." Asta lets out an annoyed groan, finally agreeing to attempt to raise his grades.

He takes out his assignment(s) and-with Yuno's help-begrudgingly does them. After around thirty minutes they decide to take a short break. Asta rests his head on Yuno's shoulder with an exaggerated sigh. "Do we have to continue~?" He whines. Yuno places a light peck on his lips. "How about this: finish one more problem and we'll take a break. Does that sound fine, Amor Meus?" Asta gives a look of confusion in the last part. He tilts his head to the side. "Huh?" Yuno chuckles and ruffles Asta's hair gently. "You'll understand later. Now, let's continue." Asta nods with a look of annoyance.

Yuno gently guides Astas through the next problem, giving him small hints to push him to the correct answer. Yuno couldn't blame Astas for struggling. Third-year math was surprisingly difficult, even Yuno-who was an honor student-would struggle occasionally. So most of the time he would gladly help Asta with math when he'd struggle.

Asta finally got the problem correct. He collapses on the couch like he had just run a marathon-though with his stamina, he could finish a marathon and then do it again-he sighs and lets out a stretch. "Wanna stay for dinner?" He says, looking at Yuno with a hopeful expression. "Why ask? You know when I come over I usually stay the night regardless" He laughs. "It's only 4. Wanna watch some TV before I make dinner" Asta laughs when Yuno emphasizes he'd be making dinner. "Sure!"

The two snuggle together on the couch as the TV plays. Asta has a habit of talking a lot during movies or shows, but it's different when he's with Yuno. He can stay silent for hours on end with Yuno, just basking in his calming presence. It's a pleasureful silence that Asta would pay to experience, but thankfully doesn't since Yuno-somehow-fell for him of all people. He's grateful that Yuno loves him though, it makes him incredibly happy that someone he's known since young would love him.

After a while, It's 5:30, and the episode is over. Yuno turns to Asta with a smile. "Any requests for dinner, Amata?" Asta could tell Yuno was using a different language, but he couldn't tell which one, or what he was saying. "Oh! Make 'tatoes! Like the kind Sister Lily would make!" (can't remember for the life of me if Sister Lily actually made the food ;-;) Yuno can't help but smile at Asta's answer. "Good idea, Corculum. Any specific way?" "Nope! Do as many as you can remember!" Yuno raised his eyebrow with a smirk. "As many as I remember? You realize I helped Sister Lily cook right? We're gonna have an entire feast." Asta looks even more excited hearing that. "Please~" He begs with pleading eyes that are irresistible to Yuno. He chuckles and shakes his head. "Fine, but it might take a bit" "That's fine! I can't even help you if you want!" "Well, if you insist I guess I can't say no."

They both head to the kitchen. The first few dishes are just Asta watching Yuno do his magic and occasionally grabbing ingredients needed (aka more 'tatoes). Asta definitely underestimated how many dishes Yuno knew how to make, but he would never complain. It just meant leftovers he could have for lunch the next day. Yuno mentioned how "'tatoe casserole" was the last dish he remembered how to make. It was one out of the seven dishes Sister Lily taught him to cook. "Hey, Yuno? Do you think you could teach me to make some of these?" Yuno looked over at Asta and smiled. "Of course, Carissiam." Asta smiled. He had no clue what Yuno was saying, but he was assuming it was something sweet.

The boys happily eat their 'tatoe feast. From the first bite, they could both taste the deep nostalgia. The grainy, dry, dehydrating texture never tasted better. Asta practically inhaled most of the food, resulting in him chugging water multiple times. Yuno also ate fairly quickly, enjoying the incredibly nostalgic meal. These two were the only people in Clover High who could stand this dry food. All their friends tried, but could never get past how dry they were. It was entertaining to watch though, it looked like they were eating a lemon the way their faces scrunched up.

There were no leftovers after. The two ate every last piece of 'tatoe there was. Asta offered to help Yuno clean the dishes, and Yuno happily agreed. It was a bad idea. The two ended up throwing bubble clusters and splashing water at each other. They laughed and giggled together as bubbles got in their hair and clothes, and Yuno continued to call Asta those foreign names. It wasn't often Yuno showed this much emotion to one person. He liked keeping quiet and composing his emotions. When he was with Asta, he couldn't keep that up. He couldn't help but laugh and smile when he was around Asta.

They eventually got the dishes done and cleaned up the mess on the floor. It was 7:15 when they finished. The two boys got dressed in their pajamas. Since Yuno stayed over so often, he had pajamas ready for whenever he stayed over.

Yuno walked over to the couch and sat next to Asta. They got cozy under a blanket and watched
Meet the Robinsons, their favorite movie from when they were younger. Neither of them could tell why they still enjoyed when they were younger since they were, well, orphans, like Lewis, but it made them happy watching it.

After the movie, Asta began yawning a bit. They decided to go to bed. Yuno joined Asta under the cover and cuddled close to him. "Hey, Yuno? What were those things you were saying?" Yuno smiled. "Latin pet names." Asta flushed red. Yuno didn't often use let name, but it was always sweet when he did. "Where did you learn those?" "I'm taking Latin, remember? And while doing research I came across some Latin pet names I wanted to use." Asta's face is still slightly flushed as he playfully punches Yuno in the chest. "Pretty jerk..." He mumbles. "Goodnight, Mea Lux." He whispers, placing a kiss on Asta's forehead. "What does that mean?" He asks softly. "My light."

A/N: Hello again children! Hope you enjoyed! I would like to note that the Latin probably isn't the most accurate since I got the translations from Reddit. Anyway, I'm probably going to start not doing the A/N and only do it if I need to add little notes (Different Au, ages, warnings, etc.). So, I hope you have a good day/night, bye!
