"What?" Jimin burst out laughing.

"Stop laughing! It's not funny." Jungkook whined.

"Are you serious? He asked you to start dating?" Jimin kept laughing.

"Why do you find it that funny? Do you think he wouldn't want to date me?" Jungkook sounded kind of offended. A pillow was tightly pressed on his chest under his arms.

"Of course not. Everybody should want to date you. You're amazing. But is he fucking serious?" Jimin's face was still kind of red from laughing and Jungkook's was red from the compliment. "Does he seriously think he can do the whole dating thing?"

"Maybe... maybe he wants to try. People change." Jungkook said in a small voice. His gaze was on the ground while he was fiddling with the edge of the pillow.

"Please tell me you don't think he's changed." Jimin sighed disappointed.

"I'm not saying he has, but you never know. Maybe he wants to."

"And you want to be the one to find out? What if he hurts you because he can't keep it in his pants?"

"I don't know. I haven't said yes to him. You act like I have though. I don't even think I want to go back to him because I know it's a risk for me to take."

"I know you know. It's just that some people are not made for relationships and even if they want to try being in one they fail."

Jungkook's chest felt tighter. He didn't want to believe those words because despite the hesitation that his and Taehyung's mistakes had brought he was in love.

                                        ———

"Hey." Taehyung's lips formed a smirk while his eyes were so warm, the shade of chocolate.

"What are you doing here?" Jungkook sounded and looked annoyed with his eyebrows furrowed.

"I wanted to see you, to ask you if you have thought about what I asked you." Taehyung said softly with hope filling his eyes.

"I mean what are you doing here?" Jungkook pointing at the building behind him.

"You asked me not to wait for you outside your school so I came here." Taehyung said as if it was obvious.

"So you thought that waiting outside my house would be okay?" Jungkook looked angry but deep inside he was a bit flustered that Taehyung had the previous day waited outside his school for him and now he was waiting outside his house for him.

"You mind it?" Taehyung asked almost sad, his mouth barely pouting and his eyes dark.

Jungkook's eyes slightly widened, guilt painting his cheeks red. "I-" He started talking but then paused when his eyes met Taehyung's disappointed face. "I just- anyway, it doesn't matter."

"You can tell me if there's something bothering you though." Taehyung's voice was soft. The back of his hand was on the boy's cheek caressing it.

There it was. Taehyung's charm. It made Jungkook think for a second that Taehyung was not that bad after all. Maybe he had misunderstood him. Maybe he had been a bit unfair, because no matter what happened Taehyung was so loving and touchy.

"It's just- my parents don't know about me." Jungkook said. It was true but it wasn't the case. The case was that he needed some space no matter how obsessed with Taehyung he was, but the latter was not giving that to him.

"You're right. I didn't think about that. I'm sorry." Taehyung sounded genuinely sorry. "Do you want to walk with me?" He pulled his hand out for a second but then took it back because Jungkook had just told him he didn't want his parents to find out.
