Anatoly's POV:

I watch as the black haired beauty storms out of the room with her son in her arms.

I turn to Valentina. "What just happened?" I ask.

"I swear on my fucking life I only took my eyes off him for literally two seconds. I didn't mean to- if I'd have known this was going to happen I wouldn't have. Now a poor little child is hurt and it's on me." She states. "I feel terrible."

I scoff. "You've killed people, Valentina, and never once batted a fake eyelash but a kid hurting his hand under your watch is when you feel bad? It's not as if you personally hurt him."

I'd by lying if I said my heart didn't warm a little seeing the motherly side to Reyna. She seems to care about that kid more than anything else. Caring can be a weakness but it can also be a great strength. She'll do anything to protect him.

She's a smart woman hiding her child from me. She knew all along what I'm capable of.

I don't doubt that Blaine had a hand in her escape, he did a good job of covering her tracks. I wasn't the least bit suspicious of her until I saw her murder that guy Milo and dump him in the lake. After that, I had someone look more into her. They didn't find much on her which was suspicious in itself.

When I went to her house I noticed her downstairs lights were on. I could faintly hear the TV which lead me to believe someone was already there. I managed to get through an upstairs window and saw a woman sat on the sofa. I found it strange that someone would be house sitting, as far as I knew she didn't have anything extremely valuable and the neighbourhood was relatively safe from theft.

I looked through the bedrooms and found a child asleep, I didn't know who he was at the time. I quickly left the room and went into hers where I called one of my men to look into it. He also found little on Aiyden but Valentina managed to talk with him and he told her more.

I knew Rey wasn't who she said she was and that she was lying to me so I decided to take her back to my house and question her.

She tried to fool me but it didn't work out in her favour. The only reason I spared her life is because she saved my life twice. I wanted to know more about her reasoning and it seems the answer to that is the three year old who seems to follow her almost everywhere.

She has secrets, secrets that I'm eager to know. She always leaves me guessing and I guess that's why I'm so fascinated by her. I want to see how all of this plays out. I'm a sucker for drama.

I want to know who she's so afraid of and why Blaine can't protect her as well as she thinks I can.

I wouldn't go to war for her but I'd go to war for the fun of it.

Plus, I'd be lying if I said the doctor side to her wasn't so damn hot.
