"Reyna, I can explain." Jasper says.

"How do you know my name is Reyna?" I ask.

He pauses, now caught in an irrefutable lie.

"There's something I should probably tell you." He says.

I scoff. "You think?"

"I was tasked with watching over you." He says and my eyes narrow.

"By who?" I ask even though I'm almost certain it was Blaine.

"Blaine Sousa. I'm a part of his mafia, that's why he sent you to this part of Spain specifically because I was already here and the less attention the better." He states. "Listen, I didn't know who Anatoly really was at first but I can't bite my tounge any longer. Your plan is horrible, it will fail miserably. You need to get out of here before it's too late."

"It's already too late." I state.

"What do you mean?"

"He already knows."

"He knows who you are?" He asks in disbelief and I nod. "And you're still alive?"

"I've saved his life twice, he's agreed to hear me out."

"You need to get out of here right now." He states.

I couldn't even if I wanted to, Aiyden is still at his house and by trying to run when we're not in immediate danger would put us in immediate danger.

"I'm not going anywhere." I state. "What was the point in you lying to me?" I ask, returning to the matter at hand. "And don't give me the crap about protecting me or any of that shit."

"I was wary of you at first. Blaine told me about you and he made sure I knew how much of a big deal it was that I kept an eye out for you. He said that I could tell you but that if I did you'd try and fight it, say that you're capable enough alone."

"I am." I state.

"I know that but Blaine just wanted to be sure you would be ok. He didn't want you to be alone."

"Did you ever even want to be my friend or was it just a part of the job description?" I ask with hurt in my voice.

"Of course I do, you and Kamari mean so much to me."

"Is she in on it?" I ask.

"No." He says. "It's just me, no one else knows your real identity.

"You should've told me, Jasper."

"I never needed to tell you before." He argues.

"Oh, so you only told me because you had to?" I ask, spite in my voice. "You didn't feel the need to tell me any of the other times we've spent together, not even before you delivered my fucking child."

"Reyna-"

"No." I shake my head. "I can't believe you're only telling me because I found this stupid thing." I say, tossing the gun onto the sofa.
