Two days went by faster than I thought it would.

Everyone is gathered in my living and I thought to myself, why is it always my place?

I don't mind having my friends over but it's getting to the point where they up at the wrong times.

On another note, since the morning I woke up on Margot, I've been thinking about what she said about my dream.

Maybe it's trying to tell you something.

What does that mean? Where does that put us? Does this mean we're making progress? Is she saying that there's hope for us? That we could actually be what I've of us being all these years?

Questions.

Hundreds of thousands of questions have planted themselves in my mind for me to constantly ask and ask again.

I need answers and Margot is the only one who could give them to me.

"Hey." I jump and turn around at the voice standing in my doorway. "We're exchanging gifts now." Micah's brows furrow as he takes in my appearance without the smile and crinkled eyes.

I look like I haven't slept in days and to be fair, I have slept. Just not as much as I'd wish. I'd go to sleep around three in the morning and wake up at six. It's not like I don't want to get a full night's rest.

I just can't. My mind won't let me.

"Hey, are you okay? You look... not so well." I let out a humorless laugh.

"Yeah, yeah I'm okay." I'm not but I don't want to ruin the mood today. Everyone is happy and ready for their gifts and if I tell Micah now that Margot has once again, stolen my mind, the air will shift and the carefree vibe we have going is something we don't often anymore.

"Are you—"

"Yeah, come on." I grab Hazel's gift out of my closet and follow Micah out.

He doesn't look like he fully believes me but is still willing to put it to rest.

I walk out to Margot and Hazel laughing like they used to. In college. It's nice to see Margot smiling. I haven't seen much of her beautiful smile in a few weeks.

I'm glad it's back. I'm glad she's back.

I sit on the coffee table across from the girls and Micah brings over a chair from the dining room, sitting in it so that the back of it is pressed to his chest.

"Who's ready to lose? My gift is the best." I throw a smirk on my lips as we exchange the boxes and bags.

"When did it become a competition?" Margot who happens to be directly in front of me smiles. She holds onto eye contact for a few seconds, her smile fading as her gaze falls to my lips.

She quickly pulls her eyes away from me as Hazel opens her gift box.

Her eyes go wide as she pulls out a whip with over a hundred tendrils.
