«No matter how much it hurts,
you have to keep going.»

For Daisy Johnson, her rest and her stomach were the two most important things in the world. Since she was little, no major event in her life had managed to disturb her sleep or appetite.

When that morning she was woken up at six by a call from Penelope Garcia she only wanted to be able to have the blondie in front of herself to strangle her with her own bare hands. She hated being woken up, especially when someone did it before her alarm clock would go on.

The team's technical analyst advised her that they had an urgent case and that she should go to the offices immediately to discuss it with the rest of the team, and Daisy was grateful that Penelope also added that they would talk about it in the conference room, since it was her first case with the BAU.

She prepared herself by trying to be as fast as possible, but without neglecting her physical appearance and taking care of herself, which she was completely obsessed with. She grabbed her go bag and drove her Jeep Renegade to Quantico, also going through a red light, convinced that her delay was egregious.

She strongly regretted that choice when waiting for the elevator to go up to the seventh floor she found Emily Prentiss, who only gave her a nervous look, letting her understand that she didn't want to indulge in any morning conversation; Daisy realized that her boss couldn't be a particularly morning person either.

They made it all the way to the conference room in total silence and Daisy was particularly grateful and, when, a second before entering, Emily gave her a grateful smile, the younger agent confirmed her theory.

Everyone was already in the room waiting for them.

"Good morning my dears, today's case will not take you far. This is Mary Avery, seventeen years old, who disappeared this morning from her bedroom in Georgetown. Her mother had gone to wake her up to send her to school and found the room empty." - said the blonde, showing the photos of Mary and her room on the screen on the wall

"No sign of struggle or foreign intrusions in the room, but bloodstains were found between the sheets. Forensics have yet to establish when they date back, it's probably Mary's blood." - Luke said

"Why do we care about this?" - Daisy asked

"Because she's a missing minor in the D.C. area and that makes it a federal case. We don't do it all the time, but when we don't have more pressing cases it's up to us." - JJ replied kindly

"What do we know about the family?" - asked David Rossi

"Nothing in particular for the moment. The father is a psychologist, while the mother worked in the local police before her marriage, eighteen years ago, she resigned after Mary's birth." - added Garcia

"Only child?" - asked JJ and received a nod from Garcia in response

"Lewis go to the train station, we can't rule out a voluntary escape. Alvez, stay here to help Garcia, while I, JJ, Rossi and Johnson will go talk to the girl's family and friends." - said Emily

Daisy watched as Tara, Penelope, and Luke exited the room, unquestioningly complying with the orders Emily had given them. They must have held her in high esteem and they too would do anything to protect and help their leader in a time of need.

Daisy had to make all of them trust her completely.

"Rossi, I want you to go talk to the girl's father, JJ, you to her mother. Daisy and I will go to school to talk to her friends. Johnson, you will conduct the interviews, I will simply be your support if you need me." - Emily said, getting up from her chair and quickly heading towards the door
