Ari POV

The bell rings and I'm the first to pack my stuff and leave class. I quickly walk through the halls eager to see Sadia. I have to cherish every little moment with her, even though I'll see her at practice.

I stop when I catch site of Emma at her locker. I haven't seen her in the hall in a long time. I've been wanting to know why she's been avoiding me, I thought we were friends after we went for ice cream a few months ago.

"Hey." I stop behind her, gripping the strap of my bookbag.

She stops rummaging through her locker and turns to face me. Her dark eyes squint as they give me a quick glance over before they meet mine.

"Hey?" She raises a brow.

"Why have you been avoiding me? Since I asked if Sadia could come with me to your ultrasound, you've been an asshole." I make sure to whisper the one word. I'm sure she doesn't want people to know.

She rolls her eyes. "Oh my god Ari. Why do you act so obsessed with me? If you want to get back together just say that."

My brows furrow as I step back from in disgust. Oh my god she hasn't changed. "Seriously? I haven't talked or thought about you in months. Are you fucking stupid? I'm with Sadia and I love her more than I've ever loved you. I just wanted to know why you've been acting off with me but we're nice enough to help my sister."

A few people near, ooh. why can't people mind their own business. Everyone just has to be instigators.

She seems taken aback by me calling her stupid. I've honestly never said anything close to insulting her.

Then she scoffs as if it doesn't bother her, she slams her locker and pulls her bookbag over her shoulder. "I don't know why I did it either because I hate you just as much as your sister hates me and I couldn't care less about the little shit. You're stupid for thinking I ever loved you. That shit I said in the bathroom was all bullshit." Even though she says it coldly, I notice how her voice wobbles a bit and the way her eyes gloss over.

She doesn't give me another look and leaves me standing there surprisingly unaffected. Her words don't hurt me in the slightest, I'm over her and whether she means it or not doesn't matter to me. Fuck her.

I look around and I just so happen to see Sadia standing not too far away, with a confused look. Just the sight of her puts a smile on my face, I'm so lucky.

I walk until I'm stopped in front of her.

"What was that about?" She asks.

I sigh. "I wanted to know why she helped Aya even though she's been avoiding me but It just turned into an argument, so fuck her. Turns out she's still a manipulative bitch and will never change."

She chuckles with a shake of her head and we both leave the school together before splitting ways to our cars.

Sadia POV

"Oh, I almost forgot to ask, did I leave my School ID at your house yesterday? I can't find it." Ari asks as we make our way to our cars, practice having just ended.

I stop walking, my lips pursed. "I haven't seen it and I'd hope not because if my parents found it that would be bad."

These past few weeks have been going smoothly, though hard. We only have 2 weeks until my birthday. The last thing we need is something like this.

Her eyes widen a little. "It's probably in my room somewhere."

"Hopefully." We continue our walk to our cars.

After a long kiss goodbye me and Ari hesitantly go our separate ways. The idea of my parents finding her school ID worrying me. I'm definitely gonna turn my room upside down to find it.
