My shaking hands clutched onto the countertop, trying desperately to keep my body up. Looking into the mirror, at my wide frightened eyes and pale clammy skin, you could never guess that I was the same person I was a couple minutes ago.
The box of earrings that were placed next to me on the counter seemed to be the only thing able to catch my attention. The little black box twinkled ominously out of the corner of my eye, and I couldn't help but feel sick as I stared at it longer.
This is only a fraction of what you could have if you joined us, beautiful. Meet us at the lake outside of you house at midnight tonight. Come alone. You wouldn't want your Alpha bitch to get hurt if you disobey.
Love always,
Cyrus
Clutching the paper in my fist so hard I just knew that it was going to disintegrate, my shaking breath filled the air around me as it seemed to get harder and harder to breath.
The rogues were back.
And they wanted me.

"Sweetie, are you alright?" Emily's concerned voice made me look up from my plate.
"Um, yeah." I cleared my throat, trying to make my voice sound stronger. "Why wouldn't I be?"
"You haven't touched a thing on your plate since I set it in front of you."
"I'm just not hungry."
"You're always hungry!"
Ah, crap...
"I must be coming down with something..." I supplied.
"Again?" I could tell that she didn't believe me.
I don't blame her. I wouldn't believe me either.
"Ha Ha," I laughed nervously. Glancing at the blank wall, I pretended that I was looking at a clock. "I actually have to be somewhere right now, so..."
Pushing away from the table in a haste, I didn't leave any room for her to ask any questions as I rushed to put my plate in the sink.
"Farrah-"
"I've got to go". I give her a quick side hug as I darted passed. "You look lovely today, by the way. You look very nice in that color."
Smiling as I pushed on my boots and my jacket and scarf, I made a mad dash towards the back door.
"Farrah!" swearing under my breath, I turned around with a fake smile, desperate to escape.
"Yeah?"
She handed me my phone, sighing in defeat. She knew that she couldn't stop me. "Be back soon."
Nodding in gratitude and chuckling nervously, I grabbed my phone and stuffed it into my boot. "See you later."
Escaping through the door, I let out a sigh of relief. Talking off into a light jog, I entered the forest, careful to keep an eye out for anything suspicious. The sun had set about a half hour ago, and the cold wind was swirling around the air.
Stopping once I reached town, I pulled out my phone, dialing Erik's number.
"What?" Was his friendly answer.
"Where are you?"
"The library, why?"
"Alright, I'll be there so-wait! The library? Why are you at the library? You don't read."
"You're so funny." I rolled my eyes at his sarcasm. "Anyways, what's wrong?"
I sighed. "I'll tell you when I get there."
