I should've known.

He is a walking talking magnet for paps.

After just a few minutes of us sitting at our table, the manager suddenly appeared, his expression tense as he informed us about the paparazzi gathering at the restaurant entrance. Making a split-second decision, I instructed them to have my car ready at the back entrance of the restaurant immediately.

Realizing that the presence of the paparazzi provided the perfect excuse to escape any further interaction with Dalhyun, I sprang from my chair, a sense of urgency propelling me forward. Dalhyun trailed behind, his expression a mix of confusion and acquiescence, wisely refraining from questioning my sudden decision.

Though we could have continued our lunch undisturbed, I harbored no desire to extend our time together any longer than necessary. As we followed the manager's lead, I couldn't help but notice the curious stares from the restaurant staff, some openly giggling while casting admiring glances at Dalhyun. Meanwhile, I found myself frowning, unable to shake off the envy that gnawed at me. It seemed effortless for him to charm others, effortlessly winning over the hearts of the public.

Exiting the restaurant in haste, I made a beeline for my car, fingers fumbling with the keys as I unlocked the driver's side door. Just as I slid into the driver's seat, a sudden flash caught my attention, prompting me to twist my neck to find Dalhyun nodding, a determined expression etched on his features.

With a sense of urgency, I settled into the driver's seat of my Urus, the powerful engine roaring to life at my command. Once Dalhyun had secured his seatbelt, I wasted no time, my foot pressing down on the accelerator as my hands deftly maneuvered the steering wheel, guiding us through the narrow, uneven pavement road with practiced precision.

Executing a sharp right turn onto the main road, I couldn't help but smirk as I observed more flashes going off behind us. In that moment, a rush of adrenaline surged through me, fuelled by the knowledge that the paparazzi would be hot on our trail. The thrill of the chase ignited within me, and I relished the opportunity to outmanoeuvre them, the excitement of the unexpected pursuit.

And that's what exactly happened.

After a thrilling fifteen-minute pursuit, I successfully lost the paparazzi, easing off the accelerator as my speed reduced to a leisurely pace. With one hand resting on the console and the other on the wheel, I drove in silence, the adrenaline rush gradually subsiding.

It was then that I became acutely aware of my surroundings once more, realizing with a sinking feeling that I found myself yet again in the confined space of the car with Dalhyun.

"I don't understand why we had to leave. I'm certain they wouldn't have followed us inside the restaurant," Dalhyun remarked, breaking the silence. His words hung in the air, and I remained silent, unsure of how to respond.

"Oh, I see now," he continued, his tone tinged with resignation. "You took that opportunity to escape spending any more time with me. I would've called that a smart move, but yet here you are, sitting in this car with me."
