Yeonkai- My Rebound

Yeonjun was pissed off as he walked around his college campus. He just got dumped by his ex. All he could think about was their conversation five minutes ago. "You're dumping ME?! ME?! Who the fuck are YOU to dump ME?!"

Taehyun, the ex, shrugged in annoyance. "We both knew this was coming."

"Tell me why at least!"

"It's not you. It's me."

"The truth!"

"That is the truth! I need someone who isn't as emotional!"

"So you want a robot?! Is that what you're saying?!"

"No! Ugh. There's nothing wrong with who you are. We're just not compatible. It's over Yeonjun. I'm sorry."

Yeonjun slumped into his chair with his arms crossed. He grumbled "how the fuck can he dump ME? I'm rich and hot. I'm the whole fucking package." Beomgyu nervously sat down next to him. Yeonjun could feel how badly his friend wanted to say something but was too nervous to. He slammed his books on his desk then asked "what?"

"Are you still going to the party tomorrow?"

"Why?"

"Because Taehyun asked me to be his date..."

"Excuse me?!"

"I said I'd ask you if it was okay first!"

Yeonjun couldn't believe it. Not only was he dumped a mere 10 minutes ago but his ex already moved on. He took it as a challenge to find his own date to prove a point. Yeonjun Choi doesn't sulk. He moves on and pretends things don't bother him. He faked a smile then sarcastically said "sure. I already have a date myself."

"You do? Who?"

"You'll see."

"Um. Okay... thanks for being cool with it."

"No problem." After class ended, Yeonjun walked out to see his ex talking to a stranger in the courtyard. They were laughing together. How could his ex be this happy without him? The smile that used to warm his heart began to infuriate him instead. "Asshole." He watched the stranger hug Taehyun and then leave towards his direction. That guy was hot. An idea popped into his head to make him his date. What better way to rub it in Taehyun's face than to go with his friend? He quickly fixed his hair then introduced himself. "Hi. I'm Yeonjun! I haven't seen you around here before."

The stranger offered his hand. "I'm Kai but you can call me Hyuka. It's nice to meet you! I moved here at the start of the week."

"I know this is sudden but would you like to go to a party with me tomorrow? I can introduce you to everyone. Help you meet other people!"

Kai knew exactly who Yeonjun was and he thought it was strange that Taehyun, his first friend's, ex was asking him out. He wasn't going to let that stop him from having a good time though. Yeonjun was hot and clearly hot headed. He wanted to see how much he could milk him for before the older moved on. "Sure. Want to grab some dinner first?"

"Yes! What did you have in mind?"

"I'm not sure what's around here." Kai bit his lip while slowly looking him up and down to tease him. "You look like you have good taste. Surprise me."

"You got it baby."

Kai winked then walked away to his next class. He sat down next to Taehyun and told him what happened.

"You know he's just using you because of your looks right? To get back at me?"

"Who says I'm not using him?"

Taehyun smirked. "Didn't think you were the sugar daddy type."

"First time for everything."

"Just be careful okay?"
