Friday night I

Evie's pov

I walked out of the elevator, looking back seeing as it closed with him inside I couldn't help but smile I really liked Felix but I didn't want anyone knowing that we were in a relationship the would think I was taking advantage of his position or only using him for his money. I didn't need all that drama plus it's not like I was his girlfriend now, we are just trying it out... right.

I put my bag down before heading to the meeting room to finish the records with Jeff, "good morning" I said to Jeff with a smile on my face as I sat across from him "good morning, I got you your cappuccino just how you like it with extra cream" he said handing me my cappuccino I thanked him and got started on my work, two hours later we were done, I made my way to Mr koner's office and handed him the statements.

I made my way to my office and took a sit in my chair checking my emails on my laptop when I saw one from my brother.... I froze... this was the first time he had contacted me since the incident, I pressed on the email as my hands shook a little.

I stared at the email trying my best not to cry I really missed his dumbass, I know dad's planning something but I need more time to... prepare. I don't know why he is risking his neck talking to me because if dad finds out he will not take it lightly.

I made my way out of my office after a busy day to find Felix leaning against his car with a cigarette in his mouth, I walked towards him "you do know it's time to call it a day so what are you still doing here" I asked him opening my bag to look for my car keys "waiting to take this beautiful woman home and ask if she would like to have dinner with me on Friday." He said dropping his cigarette, stepping on it and turning his attention back to me his grey eyes staring into my soul, "first I can't just leave my car here" I said waving the keys in my hands "second yes I would love to have dinner with you" I said smiling up at him.

He walked towards me invading my little bubble, his rainy forest scent invading my senses, his hand reached out to my hand that had the keys in them "I'll have some one handle it" he said taking the keys from my hand and giving it to someone behind me wait-what where did he come from "so now that we have that taken care of shall we" he said opening the door for me as I rolled my eyes getting into the car.

          "This isn't the route to my house" I looked out the window at the different buildings "I know but I want to spend more time with you that's if you let me and also why I used the longer route and maybe we could get some ice cream on the way" he said glancing in my direction before moving back to the road. "Eres el hombre más difícil que he conocido" (you're the most difficult man I've ever met) I said under my breath."y eres terco" (and you're stubborn) he fired back, I really didn't expect him to know Spanish "you speak Spanish" I said in astonishment "yes I do, I've spoke it since I was five."

We were now sitting in his car eating ice cream after having a whole debate on which is better rocky road or peppermint and I won after making him have a spoon of my rocky road, now don't get me wrong I like peppermint but I love rocky road more. "So what's the dress code for our date on Friday" I asked after putting another spoon of ice cream into his mouth. "Just casually, anything is really fine, I want you to feel comfortable" he made my heart flatter a little he was so sweet and intimidating at the same time, and don't get me started on his demeanor at work, everyone was scared to look him in the eye.

We were now walking towards my apartment door I turned around after reaching my door I kissed him on the cheek "thank you for the ice cream and bringing me home" I said before unlocking the door "no need to thank me I loved being able to take you home, good night" he said with a small smile. I leaned my head on the door after closing the door behind me, he was messing with my head. I've never liked anyone this much.

I set my bag down, stripped off all my clothes and got into the warm bath that I had filled with cherry and green tea bath bombs, I made my way out of my bedroom after I was done with my bath, I wasn't really sleepy so I decided I would just watch a movie before going to bed.

Time skip

I woke up to the sound of my phone going off, I fell off the couch at the loud sound with a slice of pizza glued to my face when did fall asleep here I wondered as I peeled the pizza off my face making a yuck face, went to my bedroom to get ready for work. Fourth five minutes later I was done and now getting into my car. I arrived at the company in less than twenty minutes, today was Mr koner's first day as the financial director.

I made my way to my new office, now that Mr koner was financial director I was going to be the new financial manager and Jeff would be my deputy in fact everyone in the financial sector would move a level higher because of this, I was just so excited that my paycheck would increase that I couldn't wipe the smile off my lips. I made my way towards my desk that now had a glass pluck of my name and position, I took a sit, closing my eyes and letting out a sigh I was finally achieving what I set out to do.

"Looks like someone is in good mood" Jeff said sitting in the seat adjacent to my desk, I smiled at him "I'm just letting it all sink in" I said smiling at him "how about we celebrate with dinner let's say Friday night" he said with a huge grin on his face "I'm really sorry but I have plans that night maybe we can reschedule" he looked at me for a second longer before shrugging "that's okay maybe some other time ." We talked a little before he left and I started doing my work.

         I was sorting some files out when my phone rang "bestie you will not believe who I ran into" Tiffany screamed into the phone "Tiffany you do this all the time just tell me" I spoke closing the file "Rick" before she could finish her sentence the phone fell out of my hands I could feel my blood ran cold my palms become sweaty and the dread setting in why of all people him. I slowly picked up the phone bringing it to my ear "hello evie are you there" she asked I could never bring myself to tell her or Sofia what he did to me. "Yes, you where saying." I managed to squeak out, I never want to come across him ever again.
