*TW: Non Consensual Act/ Murder*

Gerard sat beside Hayley in the living room, his parents seated across from them and they were engaged in a conversation about Gerard's busy schedule lately. "So, Gerard, you've been quite busy lately," his mother remarked. "Is everything alright?" Gerard shifted uncomfortably in his seat as he searched for a suitable response. "Yeah, everything's fine," he replied, forcing a smile. "Just been a lot going on at work." Donald nodded, though there was a hint of skepticism. "You seem distracted, son," he observed. "Is there something on your mind?" Gerard glanced at Hayley, feeling guilty at the thought of the secret he was keeping from his family. "No, nothing like that," he assured them. "Just been trying to stay focused on work, that's all." Gerard's parents continued to press him with questions. But before Gerard could formulate a response, Hayley interjected, coming to his rescue. "Maybe Gerard's just been feeling a bit stressed from work lately," Hayley suggested. "You know how demanding his job can be."

Gerard's parents exchanged a glance, considering Hayley's words. After a moment, his mother nodded. "Of course, dear," she said, reaching out to pat Gerard's hand. "We understand. Just remember to take care of yourself, okay?" Gerard forced a smile, grateful for Hayley's intervention. "Thanks, Hayley," he murmured, shooting her a grateful look and Hayley returned his smile. "Anytime, Gerard," she replied softly. "We're all here for you." The peaceful atmosphere in the living room was shattered by the sudden commotion outside. The sound of raised voices and hurried footsteps filtered through the windows, causing Gerard's parents to exchange concerned glances. Before anyone could react, the maid burst into the room. "Excuse me, Mr. and Mrs. Way," she said breathlessly. "There's a man outside asking to see Mr Way." Gerard's parents exchanged a puzzled look, clearly taken aback by the unexpected interruption. "Who is it?" Donald asked and the maid hesitated for a moment before replying, "He said he's a friend of Mr Way." Gerard felt a knot form in his stomach at the mention of a mysterious visitor claiming to be his friend. He exchanged a worried glance with Hayley, unsure of what to make of the situation.

His mother frowned. "Well, we can't just leave him waiting outside," she said firmly. "Go see what he wants." Gerard rose from his seat and made his way to the front door, his heart pounding in his chest. He could hear raised voices and the sound of scuffling outside. As he stepped outside, he was met with a chaotic scene. Mikey was engaged in a heated altercation with the guards stationed at the entrance, his fists flying as he fought to break free from their grasp. "Mikey, what are you doing here?" Gerard called out as he rushed to his friend's side. "Gerard, thank God you're here," he exclaimed. "I need to talk to you, it's important." Gerard's brow furrowed in confusion as he tried to make sense of the situation. "What's going on, Mikey?" he asked but before Mikey could respond, the guards moved to restrain him once more, their grip tightening around his arms as they tried to subdue him. "You can't go in there, sir," one of the guards insisted. Mikey struggled against their hold, his eyes pleading with Gerard for help. "Gerard, please," he pleaded. "You have to listen to me, it's about Frank." Gerard's heart skipped a beat at the mention of Frank's name, a wave of anxiety washing over him. Without hesitation, he turned to the guards. "Let him go," he demanded. "He's with me."
