The next day, Gerard slowly blinked his eyes open, the events of the previous day still fresh in his mind. But as he tried to sit up, he realized something was wrong. His movements were restricted, and when he reached up to rub his eyes, his hand brushed against something cold and metallic. Confusion flooded through him as he realized that his neck was restrained by a chain, connected to the bedpost. Panic began to rise within him as he tugged at the chain, but it held fast, leaving him trapped. "Frank?" Gerard called out, his voice trembling. "Baby, what's going on?" There was no response, only silence echoing through the empty room and Gerard's heart pounded in his chest as he struggled against the chain. He tried to remember how he had ended up here, but the memories were hazy, fragmented. All he could recall was the sensation of being drugged, of losing consciousness, and then waking up here, Gerard's heart raced as he heard the door open, the sound of footsteps echoing through the room.

When Frank entered the room, Gerard couldn't help but flinch at the sight of him. His mind was filled with images of the chains, of being restrained against his will, and he couldn't shake the fear that gripped him. But to Gerard's surprise, Frank appeared calm and composed as he approached the bed. "Hey, Gerard," he said softly and Gerard swallowed hard, his throat dry. "Frank, what's going on?" he asked and Frank reached out a hand, his touch surprisingly gentle as he brushed a strand of hair away from Gerard's face. "I know this must be confusing for you," he said. "But everything is going to be okay. I promise." Gerard couldn't help but recoil slightly from Frank's touch. "I don't understand," Gerard said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Why are you doing this to me?" Frank's expression softened, his eyes filled with regret. "I'm sure you know by now," he said. "Gerard. I'm doing this to protect you." Gerard felt a surge of frustration and anger rise within him. How could Frank expect him to trust him after everything that had happened? But at the same time, there was a part of him that wanted to believe, that wanted to hold onto the hope that Frank could still be the man he had fallen in love with.

As Frank reached out a hand towards him, Gerard hesitated for a moment before tentatively taking it. "I... I want to believe you, Frank," Gerard said. "But I'm scared. I'm scared of what's happening, of what you might do." Frank's expression softened, his eyes filled with genuine remorse. "I understand," he said softly. "And I'm sorry for what I've done, for the pain I've caused you. But you have to trust me, Gerard. I love you more than anything in this world, and I would never do anything to hurt you intentionally." Gerard felt a lump form in his throat as he listened to Frank's words, torn between the desire to believe in their love and the nagging fear that refused to let go. "I love you too, Frank," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "But I don't know if I can trust you anymore." Frank's heart seemed to break at Gerard's words, his shoulders slumping with defeat. "I know," he said, his voice barely a whisper.

"We need to go to the hospital, Frank," Gerard insisted. "You need help. Whatever's going on with you, we can figure it out together." Frank shook his head. "No, Gerard," he said firmly. "I'm fine. I don't need to go to the hospital. I have you with me, and that's all I need." Gerard's heart ached at Frank's words, torn between wanting to believe him and wanting to ensure his safety. "But what if something happens?" he pressed, his voice pleading. "What if you get worse?" Frank reached out a hand to cup Gerard's cheek. "I won't get worse, Gerard," he said. "I promise. I just need you to trust me on this." "This isn't love, Frank," Gerard said. "This... whatever this is, it's hurting both of us. You need help, real help, and we can't keep pretending everything is okay." Frank's eyes darkened, a flash of desperation crossing his face. "I don't need help, Gerard," he insisted, his voice rising. "I just need you. I can't lose you. You're the only thing that makes sense in my life." "But you're losing me by doing this!" Gerard's voice broke. "You say you love me, but love isn't supposed to feel like this. It's not supposed to be about control and fear." Frank's hands started to trembled again. "Please, Gerard," he whispered. "I can't lose you. I'll do anything, but I can't go to the hospital. They'll take you away from me."
