CHAPTER 16

WHILE our shoot has not yet started, Monroe and I have been practicing the scenes and lines we will do for the video. Ang sabi ni Sasa sa amin kanina ay baka hindi na abutin ng isang linggo ang shoot namin, kaya makakapagpahinga na rin kami sa halos isang buwan na trabahong ginawa namin ni Monroe kasama ang mga staff. Although, I had a fortunate experience with this job compared to my previous photoshoots in London, but I really want to finish this job so that I have no reason to go back to VMI and see Morgon again. Buo na talaga ang naging pasiya ko. I will move on from him. After my contract with his company, I made a promise to myself I will start a new life. Aalisin ko na siya sa isipan ko, lalo na sa puso ko. I will entertain new suitors too para maibaling ko na sa iba ang isipan ko, lalo na ang puso ko. I know the process I will go through to move on will not be easy for me, but I will do everything to forget him.

Naging busy kami sa buong araw at sa sumunod na mga araw pa. Laking pasasalamat ko na lamang talaga at hindi na nagpunta sa location namin si Morgon para panoorin ang shoot namin. On the last day of our shoot, we celebrate for the success of our project.

“Many thanks to everyone involved in this project, especially to Miss Shiloh and Mister Belmore.”

Nagpalakpakan ang mga kasama namin pagkatapos magsalita ng director. Nasa beach pa rin kami kung saan kinunan ang last video namin kaninang hapon.

Nakangiting inilibot ko naman ang aking paningin sa buong paligid upang magpasalamat sa mga kasamahan namin.

“Naging madali at sucessful ang project na ito dahil magaling ang ating mga model, so I am very grateful that you agreed to accept this job, Miss Shiloh.”

“Well, to be honest, I really have no intention of accepting this project because the termination of my contract in London is still in process. I just came back here to the Philippines to accompany my daddy to recover from his illness. And Sasa also knows that I don’t want to accept this, but I was also forced because of Marl, he’s my manager in London. But I’m happy that I accepted this job because I got to know you and spent a month with you guys. I enjoyed working with you. Really. So I will going to miss you after this.”

Nakangiting nakatingin sa akin ang lahat habang nagsasalita ako. Hindi man sila magsalita para sabihin sa akin na masaya rin sila na makatrabaho ko, pero kitang-kita ko iyon sa mga mata nila, lalo na sa mga ngiti nila.

“So, thank you so much guys.”

“Maraming salamat din, Shiloh. Hindi namin akalain na ganito ka pala kabait at kasayang katrabaho,” sabi ni Sasa. “Ang akala talaga namin, lalo na itong mga kasama ko ay suplada ka talaga. Pero pinatunayan mo sa amin ang salitang don’t judge the book by its cover. Mukha ka lang pala maldita at suplada, pero napakabait mo pala.”

Nagtawanan kami dahil sa sinabi ni Sasa.

“My God! Hindi ko akalain na all this time ay iniisip n’yo palang maldita ako. Nakakainis, huh!” kunwari’y nagtatampong saad ko.

“Kaya masuwerte tayo at nagkaroon tayo ng chance na makatrabaho si Miss Shiloh, guys. Maganda na nga, tapos napakabait pa,” sabi ng isang kasama naming lalaki.

Muli akong napangiti.

“How about you, Mr. Belmore? What can you say about our successful photoshoot, and your experience working with Filipinos like us?” tanong ni Sasa kay Monroe.

Tumikhim naman ito at lumingon sa akin, at pagkuwa’y ngumiti. “Well, Marl also told me about this project. Just like Shiloh, I would not have accepted Marl’s offer to me because I have never been here in the Philippines. Although, I really want to come here to visit Shiloh, but it is not in my plan to go here this year. But when I found out that Shiloh would be my partner for this project, I didn’t hesitate to accept the contract. And, I am happy that I had the experience of working with the Filipinos like you guys. You work differently than people in London, in New York. You are kind and fun to work with. And I am also grateful to those who helped me so that I could visit the tourist spots here. Shiloh was right. It’s more fun in the Philippines. From the first day I arrived here until these moments, I have felt nothing but happiness and enjoyment. Thank you so much guys for the wonderful experienced.”
