Alec was off helping Luke change his bandage once again as Magnolia was walking back toward the living room hearing the three going on a tangent about something. She walked in to her father stepping beside Jace.
"We know. If Valentine started creating ShadowHunters or gained control of demons, it'd be like Beyoncé riding on a dinosaur through Time Square." Magnus said
"People would notice." Magnolia applied
"But he can control demons, I've seen it." Clary said
"Eh, paying off a few demons is easy." Magnolia said
"Especially since they rarely survive long enough to collect." Magnus said
"Still waiting on Valentine's thank-you card." Jace said "Opening the gates of hell.... That's a little more tricky." Magnus said
"Valentine doesn't have the cards. I do. They're at my desk back at the precinct. When Clary went missing, I went to the loft and I cleared everything out, cause I didn't want the Circle to track her." Luke explained
"That's great. This should be easy." Clary said
"Hmmm, that's what General Custer said." Magnus huffed
Magnolia elbowed her dad, giving him a look, he looked at her before plopping onto the chair.
"Magnus is right. Valentine has spies everywhere, even in the NYPD. We have to be discreet." Luke said
"Discreet? You look like something out of The Mummy movie." Clary said
"Good one." Magnolia said
The group looked at her.
"My bad." She mumbled
"We'll go in the morning. Werewolf healing, remember? This is nothing a couple of hours of beauty sleep can't fix." Luke said
"Can I go?" Magnolia asked
"Absolutely not." Magnus said
"Come on, I want to help. Plus I'm going stir-crazy here. Please? I promise the minute something bad is happening, I'll portal straight back." Magnolia said
Magnus stared down at his daughter, she looked at him with her innocent pleading eyes filled with the look of eagerness for her next adventure, he huffed looking to his feet.
"Fine, if anything were to happen to you, I don't know what I would do." Magnus said
"Yes! Thanks Dad!" She said
She stepped forward wrapping her arms around his neck, pulling in for a tight hug. He wrapped his arms around her middle, squeezing her just as tight, afraid that if he let go, she would disappear forever. She walked down the hall, spotting Alec walk out of the large bedroom drying his hands. "Another drink, good sir?" She asked
