Liam Payne bent over and caught his breath for a moment, before turning back around to see one of his best friend’s doing the same, about a mile away from him.

“Liam!” Hayley Thulborn gasped, standing back up for a second but lazily falling onto the gravel on the path dramatically, making Liam shake his head and roll his eyes.

“Don’t…don’t make me run anymore! I…why do people do this? This isn’t fun!” She whined, looking up at him in confusion, flapping her arms around. Liam walked over to her laughing to himself. Hayley was a good friend of his, and when she had said how she wanted to get fitter for her New Years resolution, Liam jumped at the chance to help her out, and suggested they go jogging together. She seemed enthusiastic about it at the time, but now that it was 10:00am on the 1st January 2013, she wasn’t enjoying it much.

“C’mon, it is fun! You just have to stop whining!” Liam laughed, before he pulled his friend up to her feet.

“Li, you do this everyday, you’re used to it.” She sighed, even though there was still a smile on her lips.

“And you will be eventually, come on, I want this to be like, ‘our thing’!” Liam said excitedly, as he started pulling her along the path once again. He had picked out Hyde Park, and it was surprisingly quiet. Probably because everyone was still nursing hangovers from last night, he expected. She looked at him in defeat, before stretching her arms once again.

“Okay, Li. But just for you, because you’re my best friend.” She laughed, before they both started jogging off together once again.

Liam was used to jogging, he loved to jog, it kept him fit and it was good to just help him clear his mind when his work got too much. He had first started jogging when he started university and met all of his best friends, but no one had ever shared his passion for it with him. But now that Hayley was jogging with him, he felt much happier. It would be nice to have some company and that’s why he was so excited about this. He looked over at Hayley with a wide smile. As she jogged along by his side she was attempting to do her hair at the same time. What was it with girls and their hair? But then again, Liam thought to himself, his boyfriend was just the same!

“Stop fussing, concentrate on running! There’s no one here to see us anyway.” Liam told her, even though he couldn’t keep his smile from his face. She rolled her eyes, before Liam received a playful elbow to the ribs.

“It’s fine for you, you only have a little quiff! My hair goes on for bloody days.” She laughed, and Liam couldn’t help but agree. She was a good looking girl, about 5’7 with long, brunette hair that started in a centre parting and went past her shoulders in golden-brown waves.

“Would you stop moaning!” Liam suddenly yelled, before he grabbed her by her waist and throwing her over his shoulder as he jogged along.

“Liam!” she yelled in shock, even though they were both laughing madly. Liam decided to tease her, and jumped around the outside of a water fountain, her squeals to not throw her in only making him laugh even more. She gripped onto him with a vice like grip, and when he finally put her back down on her feet she practically threw herself onto him again in an effort to wrestle him to the floor. Liam couldn’t help but fall over onto the gravel path once again, as Hayley sat on him, pinning his hands to the floor. Liam looked up at her cheekily.

“I know I’m good looking, and I know you can’t resist a sweaty guy, but I have a boyfriend, Hayley!” He teased her, which only made her roll her eyes. They always got up to little antics like this.

“Now, back to jogging!” He encouraged her once more, before pulling her off of him and onto her feet. She gave a long moan and a sigh but followed him nevertheless around the park.
