Hermione's POV

I can spot him from a mile away but I do not approach him I casually walk right pass him

I go straight to the bar ordering my self a watermelon mojito I then order all our coworkers a round of them as well to thank them then I sit at the large table where everyone is sitting gathering around it while the food is being catered to us

We're gathered by plates of oxtail baked Mac and cheese
Scallops fish and chip caviar and truffles as well as lobster tail while Hors d'oeuvres are being passed around

Jax goes to  pull out his chair and clearing his voice while clinking a spoon to his champagne glass everyone may I please have you're attention I like to start by say thank you to my wife Hermione for throwing you all this amazing dinner for your appreciation day also thank you to all of you helping us become this far so please enjoy your meal

I roll my eyes at his gesture I then speak up you're all welcome you all really do deserve this treatment but I like to announce that you all won't be seeing me around here as often. Because I no longer will be helping my husband with running his business I will no longer be here after tomorrow  I have my own business that I will be needing to run  but I wanted to thank you all tonight by doing this last kind gesture so enjoy

I hear everyone gasp then Jax looks at me with his piercing eyes and his icy gaze thinking that he can put me off but all I do is shot him a smile then mouth to him your welcome

I look down but can still feel his eyes staring at me

They never leave my sight it's as like he's trying to burn a hole into my soul with the look he's giving me I try to look like I'm unbroken but truth be told I really do love this man sitting in front of me how my body and heart ache for him if only my heart could speak for itself he would understand how I really feel

I look down to my plate that is still empty ... instead of filling my plate up with food I choose to get up and push my chair in I walk away I go straight towards the exit down to my office I clean my belongings putting them into the totes and boxes that I brought up before I went up to the roof terrace ..

I hear my office door slide open

Then I hear his sharp deep husky voice breathing behind my neck which causes the tiny little hairs on the back of my neck to stand up as well as my body to shiver a bit which rises goose bumps on my skin I clear my throat and look towards his way

Hermione can you please come back home I'm I'm sorry for everything we can discuss this over . I'll explain everything to you better

No that's okay Jax I'm fine with how everything is turning out no need to explain now please will you excuse yourself out

Hermione baby come on he says while grabbing my hand in his stroking his thumb on my palm you had all night to clear your mind now that we're no longer upset I think we will be able to talk then see eye to eye without fighting I don't maybe perhaps fix things between us please give us a chance

Jax listen I already gave my chances now I'm out of them

So what we're over you're never coming back is what you're saying?

No I didn't say that I said I need time ... you need time as well to figure your own stuff out ... we're on a break not getting divorced  huge difference here
