Lando's POV
As I jumped out of my car and stood on top of it screaming at the top of my lungs I knew that I have never ever felt happiness like this. This was the best moment of my career but I knew that I had an alternative motive to win todays race. For weeks I have been meticulously training to make this possible not only for myself but for Sophie.

As I hopped down from the car I ran straight to the McLaren crew and the most beautiful girl ever caught my eye stood in between my crew. There she was. My stunning girl dressed in my very own McLaren top. She looked gorgeous in orange.

I immediately wrapped my arms around Sophie as I lifted her above the fence separating us. I held her in my arms so tight as if she was going to disappear if I let go. The world around me was spinning as I heard the crowd chanting my name.

LANDO! LANDO! LANDO!

As I slowly placed Sophie on the floor our faces were mere centimetres away from each other. As one hand grabbed her waist pulling her even closer to me my other hand grabbed her jaw as I pulled her in for what was the best kiss of my life. As we kissed I could feel a mix of my sweat and her tears on my face as she was crying from joy. This felt incredible.

I stared into Sophie's eyes as one thought and only one came into my mind. The reason I wanted to push so hard for this win.

"Sophie. I have been waiting for this moment my whole life but there is one thing that could make this day even better." I spoke as the smile on my face grew bigger and bigger. "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Witouht a second of hesitation Sophie wrapped her arms behind my neck and pulled me in for another kiss. After we parted again she looked me in my eyes, her eyes sparkling from a mix of the lights and the tears as she said "yes Lando. Of course."

As we stood staring into each others eyes it felt like everyone around us had disappeared and in that moment it was just us two there celebrating one of the best moments of our lives. The adrenaline was coursing through my veins as I looked away from Sophie for a mere second to realise every single camera in the whole of the Circuit seemed to be pointing our way. I could see both of our smiling faces on both screens as I looked back at Sophie who looked just as happy as me.

It felt amazing to have such a beautiful girl stood by my side throughout my biggest career highlight.

The Interview
After a few more minutes of thanking all of my team Sophie and I headed to the media pen to do my post race interview. Of course she was already supposed to be there however this time we walked hand in hand.

Sophie: So Lando, I honestly have no words right now so this is not going to be a good interview.
Lando: Just you being here is enough you don't need to say or ask me anything. I'm sure everyone watching can guess how happy I am with todays race.
Sophie: And as you can see I decided to join the McLaren team today in honour of your win. Is there any chance I can get a helmet too, cause you know health and safety.
Lando: You can have anything you want baby. You look amazing in my top, well I mean orange.
Lando and Sophie were both blushing at their interactions with each other yet they didn't care what anyone had to say about it because this was their happy moment.
Sophie: So, your first pole position in F1. I know you won't have any words but how does it feel?
Lando: It's incredible. It's all I've ever worked for throughout my whole life but it definitely feels a lot sweeter to have you by my side as my girlfriend.
Lando winks at Sophie. They have finally publicly announced their relationship.
Sophie: I better let you get going to the podium now. I'll see you afterwards.
Lando: Come with me! This is your celebration as much as it is mine. After all today has been a big day for both of us.

The Podium
Lando and Sophie headed to the podium as Lando went and stood on Pole as Sophie watched from behind the scenes. Until, Lando grabbed the huge bottle of champagne with one hand and ran towards Sophie reaching out the other hand. Sophie of course grabbed it as she was pulled onto the top podium with Lando. The pair both got drenched with champagne by Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton. The smiles in there faces could be seen from miles away as the pair shared another kiss before leaving the podium stage and heading back to the paddock.

As they walked through the paddock hand in hand they were getting blinded by the white flashing lights of every single paparazzi member snatching an image of the new couple. No matter what was to come for the pair they knew that this was the start of a very exciting journey.
