Sophie and Lando headed down the paddock to the McLaren garage. While they were walking every driver that spotted them would come running over to congratulate Lando on his win and to congratulate the pier as well. Lando and Sophie could not wipe the smiles off of their faces.
They both grappled their things and headed back to the hotel to get showered and ready for a huge celebration party for Lando's first ever pole in F1.

Lando's POV Sophie stepped out of the bathroom dressed in a beautiful turquoise / blue dress. I could not take my eyes off of her she looked amazing. A huge smile took over my face as I relished in how lucky I felt.
We made our way outside to take some photos and uploaded them to instagram while on our way to the party. Both of our posts blew up immediately and everyone was so supportive in the comments. I truly feel like the luckiest man in the universe right now. Everything I've ever wanted I have right now in this moment.
As we entered the fancy ass building straight away it was packed with all of the drivers and their teams as well as some of the F1 workers. Everyone seemed to be here celebrating tonight. As Sophie and I walked in hand in hand all eyes turned to us as everyone started screaming my name and cheering as we made our way through the crowd. As we reached the bar Zak Brown came up to us and congratulated me and Sophie once more. It felt amazing to have everyone's full support.
As the night went on I got pulled to the stage to do a speech.
"Hi everyone, thank you for coming tonight to celebrate the greatest day of my life! I'm so extremely lucky to have all of you guys around me, it's not often that you put 20 drivers against each other on a grid and they all support and love each other this much. I just want to say a huge thank you to my second family at McLaren. Thank you for everything I really couldn't have achieved this without you all. And obviously I want to say a huge thank you to my friends and family that are here tonight. And finally, I want to say a huge thank you to the love of my life Sophie. We may have known each other less than a year but since you entered my life I have been eternally grateful to have you by my side. Today is not only a big day for me but I finally gained the balls to ask Sophie to be my girlfriend officially. So tonight let's not only drink to my achievements, let's drink to the girl that puts a smile on my face each day, to the girl that makes me want to be a better version of myself and to the girl that I could never live without. So join me in a toast to Sophie!"
Everyone shouts and lifts their glasses in the air, as they chanted Sophie's name. "Sophie! Sophie!"
Sophie started blushing as Lando was talking as she knew how much they cared for each other but he had just called her the love of his life and not only that he had dedicated his winning speech mainly to her. She knew how lucky she was but this just emphasised the connection they shared.
